Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but I know I have the best chance for an answer. So, when does the new content come out? I'll have to pay up again, but want to know if stuff will be out before the NFL draft? Got a dynasty league draft coming up. Thanks

This used to be my favorite site for rankings but sadly this is no longer the case. For some reason they don't keep up on rankings at all anymore. Actually I think FBG has gotten away from most of the excellent fantasy information we used to love and enjoy which is baffling to me. I know there is a lockout but there is still a lot going on t=with the draft and all of the rookies coming out.

Rookie rankings come out post-draft.Dynasty rankings are still here, see my signature for the link.Can't speak to IDP rankings. I suggest the IDP forum for that.Sadly with no free agency, not much to change since January.

I appreciate the response and love this place beyound comparision leading up to the season and during the season....and there are some occasional staff things during this time, but lets be honest, this time of year there could be some more staff generated discussion/articles on this site dedicated to "fantasy football" since that is why we come here....reviews of last years projections(which for some reason seems like taboo around here)..hits/missses, etc....and it looks like we have to go somewhere else/fee/Waldman rookie stuff or whatever) for any fantasy impact player info from the upcoming draft.....not trying to sound like a whiner....but this time of year seems to really be vacation from the FBG's....realized I didn't do myself any favors by those comments....but hopefully it is taken as a consumer need instead of a complaint....I'd rather pay more money if it meant I would get more year round perspective from the "pros".....

I'm not entirely sure what you are looking for in terms of rankings. Rookie fantasy rankings are heavily influenced by which teams draft them. Would you draft Ingram high if he went to the Vikings, knowing that he would be behind 2 RBs? If you want raw rookie rankings, just look at the draft boards for the pro-teams that ESPN/NFL network put out and you basically have the best talent at the top.I play Dynasty and my entire league is in a holding pattern until the lockout ends and the terms of a new deal are revealed. An 18 game schedule affects player values, as well as trades, coaches, workouts...everything. Speculation on the part of Football Guys wouldn't improve anything one bit...only thing it would do is make them just as inaccurate as everyone else that is making their draft lists now instead of waiting and see where guys land and how they are adapting to the offense they are going into.This lockout effects FF just as much as it does the real game. Everything is frozen until it ends. I really don't expect anything from FBG until the lockout ends and players report to training camps.

I don't have a problem with the rankings - there have been some off-season rankings, and nothing is going to change much during a lockout.

I think there could be some more off-season strategy articles - some more buy low/sell high type stuff, maybe some insight reading through/sifting through off-season buzz and things like that, but I'm not going to get on them about updating rankings when there is no reason to update.

Hi TeamBlair,Our plan for 2011 is to keep the schedule basically the same as any "normal" year. We'll kick off the site content soon after the NFL Draft with rankings and projections and all the other content we normally offer. This year is obviously exceptional with the free agency limbo and we realize fully well that things will change dramatically for teams very quickly once a resolution is reached. In other words, a huge portion of what we write in May will be wrong in June. While lots of folks will just wait to June. We're going to release it in May and then keep rewriting it to keep it current. It's the same philosophy we do in normal years. You guys pay us to give an opinion based on what we know right now. If it's Saturday night and the player is a game time decision, you don't want me to shrug my shoulders and parrot what everyone else is saying about a game time decision. You want a projected stat line as to what we think the guy is going to do on Sunday based on the information we have at the time. It might be a lot of information, or it might be very little. But you still want us to make a call. We'll do the same thing in this crazy year. We'll give you all we can based on what we know at the time. And keep doing that to be as current as we can. But bottom line answer to your question is that we'll be on our normal schedule we're on every year of opening the site after the draft and releasing content through the Spring. Thanks.J

I understand it's "early" for rookie rankings but it would be nice to see some pre-draft rankings. Most Rookie drafts will take place very soon after the NFL draft regardless if the NFL lockout continues or not. Just saying it would be benficial to all if the FBG staff posted some post-combine/pre-draft rankings and comments to aid us in our rookie research, even if it is just a handful of rough rankings. Having to go to OTHER sites for this info is just wrong for a long time paying customer.

Hi Alluro,The Rate My Team feature will be ready not long after the first set of projections are released. And we're shooting for those within a few days after the NFL Draft. Projections are the "engine" that drives everything in Rate My Team so it won't be long now. And thanks for the good words, I love that feature too.J

Not complaining either just surprised. I seem to remember the rankings always being up to date even in the off-season and I thought there was more content updates but perhaps I am not remembering correctly. This is still my favorite fantasy site and I visit it often.

I'm beginning my off-season/preseason injury review this week - I'll be going by division and posting in a pinned thread at top of this forum as I go so that Sharks who follow the various teams can help me cover every skill position player. By May 2 all skill position players with injury issues will be listed and have the latest available update regarding their condition.

However, Sharks need to realize that information will be harder to come by this April than usual as the players are locked out of the team facilities and cannot meet with team trainers/therapists/team doctors. I'll do my best to compile a comprehensive list but some of the players will keep details close to the vest - especially those that are perhaps eligible for free agency this year (depending on what free agency rules the league operates under this year).

Anyone who wants to help me out should post in the pinned injury thread.
