When does the FFA majority just get too old? (1 Viewer)

who ever thinks they have a year left has to times their years here by 1 and see how left out this board is becoming.

I'm not sure what the question means. Is it when do people get too old to stop posting, or when do people start getting out of touch and boring, or when does it stop being fun and exciting, or...

I'm not trying to be intentionally difficult. Old as in been-there done-that boring, or old as expected because of the aging process of the people that used populate the board?

Or is this a variation of "is the board dying?"

old as in the people that made the board are getting old

what is the % of threads that someone under 30 could relate to? say on the first 3 pages
Gotcha.

In my personal experience, my two better friends from my area just hit their early 30's and would have been discussing a lot of these things all of the time over the past eight years. Maybe the better question is whether people under thirty who incline toward message boards would dig these threads.

Your average 30-year-old? I have no clue whatsoever.

Yeah, 2006 and those years seemed like a lot of fun in general. The tone has changed when you read old threads compared to these, but maybe that's inevitable both because of aging and because of the newer demographic within fantasy football.

Anyway, I'll leave you to ponder it, as I'm certainly no expert.

I'm talking about people that would continually visit

i just started this because , at first i had some interest in many of the ffa threads. now, no . i don't care about your kids

i can't get a poker game after 10
I'd play, but there's a small group here that feels they are too cool to play for low stakes. When the games went from $10 to $25 overnight, the player pool seemed to go from like 20 to 6.

I am 47 and would like to be able to relate to the 20-somethings, but quite frankly they are beneath me. They are the one's who mow my lawn, wash my car, bag my groceries and take my order at the drive-thru; not the one's who I am going to seek out life advice from. My mortgage is paid, no car payments, and my oldest kids are the same age as some of the younger board members. So what pearls of wisdom am I going to get from those yahoos until they have experienced life a little outside of their parent's basement?

Now, get off of my lawn.

What's the average age here, 40? With the majority of the hardcore posters here for about a decade the FFA is going to carry on as long as FBGs is up and running... Newcomers will arrive every now and again but the average age will continue until it's just a bunch of geriatrics posting from their nursing homes. Take a look around fellas, you'll be having the same arguments with the same people rehashing the same debates for the rest of your lives.

Grow old with me, the best is yet to be.
