Last couple of years I've gone sort of in between both extremes ie not go for Gates (too pricey) but not ignore the position and settle for the lesser schleps either, so going for the Shockeys and Crumplers, as my earlier attempts to find a diamond in the rough TE rarely work out and like for many it ends up a "wasted" position (talking TE req leagues, obviously). But that's been a very mixed bag too so wondering if it's worth going for Gates so you realistically know you have consistent production there, then hoping to intead "get lucky" with a lesser WR (or whatever) instead. What's your strat on this, or does it vary year/year?
