First, click the link. Then think about it and the fact they traded Jordan Mason and have McCaffrey, Guerendo, Taylor, and Abanikanda

What pick do they select their first running back with? According to Tankathon, they have the 11, 43, 75, 100, 113, 138, 147, 160, 227, 252

Man, so many variables. But assuming CMC is 100 percent going into the season, I'm saying they wait until pick 113 at least. They have a lot of holes to fill on OL and DL. I think Shanahan really likes Guerrendo too. But if CMC is iffy, all bets are off and 43 is a possibility.

As a 49er homer, really hoping they don't use a 3rd rounder on an RB, purely based on their lack of success with 3rd round RBs like Sermon and Davis-Price :wall:

Will CMC ever be 100% again? 3rd round seems likely. It’s Shanny - heck, they could easily take two RBs.

Well, I don't think 100 percent is outside the realm of possibility. Being elite CMC at age 29 is a different matter. Strictly talking about the ability to go into the season healthy. If they think two more healthy seasons is viable, then I think it definitely changes their approach to the draft. Of course, that also depends on who is available. If somebody they love falls to them, then all that is out the window.

There are a lot of highly talented guys in this draft and that's a big part of their system. 43 is completely in play if Hampton/Henderson/Judkins are there. Don't sleep on Judkins in this system, he's a very underrated receiver and the perfect running style to take over for CMc.
