where are you watching the game tonight? (1 Viewer)

I refuse to watch thursday night football as a protest.... it's still one of the worst things that has ever happened to the NFL.

I will watch if it's my chiefs.. but otherwise I can't do it out of principle.. and I do have NFL network (worst broadcast in almost all of sports)

the football is bad due to a lack of prep time.. it's bad for FFL and for pick 'em pools

the product was just fine with sunday and monday.. no one was asking for more

yes, if you have a browser that processes flash appropriately like Puffin Browser (worth the $5) and you use the nbc website you should be able to stream it... it will eat your battery in record time

Tonight, it's actually "Sunday Night Football" technically. I'd take the loophole and watch a good opening game.

I have the NBC Live Extra app and have watched soccer games before. Tonight it has:

NFL Kickoff: Green Bay Packers vs. Seattle Seahawks

Dumb question I guess, but does this mean NBC Live Extra is showing the game live or do I need a subscription?

Only reason for this is so we can smoke a cigar in my backyard at some point during the game.

pretty sure the app isn't approved for nfl even if you sign in with your cable provider

admittedly since it is an nbc broadcast... this is the one thursday game i actually approve of.. the week 1 concept is fine. Week 2-16 i have a problem with

I agree with not liking them playing games on Thursday night (except Thanksgiving) and I agree the games usually suck but I'm not missing opening night of the NFL.

 
Since your protest will have absolutely zero effect, why miss two of the best teams in the league squaring off on opening night? Just get drunk and bet on it.

I'll have to listen on Sirius for at least the first quarter

That's what happens with TNF and MNF when you're west coast and have a 50mi commute

In today's world you should easily be able to find that info using google (pretty sure it is bad form to post illegal stream sites here). A legal option would probably be NBC's website, they usually stream the Sunday night games.

Tonight, there was no lack of prep time.

However, during the season the product does suffer on thursdays. Wondering if they could somehow at least try to give teams their bye week before playing on thursday.

 
I coach my boys fall basketball team so I had practice until 8. Got home, hung out with them a bit, then put them to bed. Started up the game about 34 minutes behind the start time on the DVR. Perfection. I can skip all the commercials and halftime show and catch up live late in the 4th quarter.

All was perfect until my mother in law walked in and watched the rest of the game with me. FML. :wall:
