Why all this certainty that Randal-El will be with the Bears? He'd look real good wearing burgundy and gold and playing opposite Santana Moss.

WHat would he bring that they dont have.He is not even the second best WR on the Steelers.

Way , Way overrated , he is a below average WR ( good foor trick plays but you wont make him a second WR on a team cause he can throw the ball well )

and a decent returner.

In Chicago , he would be WR 4 behind Mushin , Bradley and Berrian .

In Washington he could be 2 behind Moss just because they have zero WR,

but there are much better FA WR available than him .

Bears have cap space and the last I saw, the Skins are way over & will have to make several moves to even consider El. In any case, I believe Moulds (whom I don't believe Washington will get either) would be a better fit with Moss/Patten.

I'd love to have El in Chicago as the #2 and returner for 2006, letting Bradley recover and Berrian furthur develop. JMHO I think getting Randle El will be the Bear's #1 priority this offseason. Perhaps El is best as a #3, but he's going to get at least #2 money (if not #1) with his return skills and a mediocre WR FA class.

Maybe you missed the whole Bobby Wade at PR for the Bears this past year. I believe he fumbled NINE times (and was then cut at some point during the year).

TO- Denver - Wants chance at the ring, popularity, stats, and money. All here.

Edge - Jacksonville - Wants to be as close to Miami as possible.

Shaun Alexander- Seattle - Wants to end career running behind Jones.

Ahman Green - Green Bay - Provides vet blocking and an outlet for Rogers.

Jamal Lewis - Baltimore - They didnt give up on him even when he was injured.

Chester Taylor - Cleveland - Dont know of anybody more interested than them.

Reggie Wayne- Indianapolis - They dont have to let him hit the market.

Drew Brees- San Diego - Teammates want him back.

Phillip Rivers- San Diego - Until Brees is signed and practicing Rivers must stay. That's too late for someone else to get him in before the start of camp.

Deshaun Foster - Jets - If they dont draft a back they should sign one.

David Givens - Kansas City - A weak answer to TO in Denver.

Antwaan Randle El - Chicago - Assuming he wants to start.

Michael Bennett - Arizona - Why is he working out in the heat of South America?

Ricky Williams - Carolina - I admit, I just want to see it happen.

CPepp- Minnesota - At 38, Johnson is not the future.

I like this thought. There has been scuttlebutt about this possibility but Holmgren said no way. Problem is Holmgren isn't the GM or the owner and if I'm TO, I'd rather play in Seattle where they will throw more than they did last year no matter what happens with Alexander. I'd ####### love it!

I thought I would try to sum up the votes and comments thus far. Here's what you are saying so far...

TO- Heading to Denver. 4 other teams got one vote each.

Edge- Jacksonville, with a few leaning towards Arizona. Nobody voted for Indy, not surprisingly.

Alexander- 13 votes for Seattle, none for the others. He's headed back to the hawks, but does he test the market first?

Ahman Green- Preety well spread out, but the majority think he'll stay with the Pack.

Lewis- Staying with Baltimore. They'll likely franchise him.

Wayne- staying in Indy. I almost didn't include him since I thought it was a given that he would stay.

Brees- 13 votes to stay with the Chargers.

Taylor- All over the place with Baltimore leading the way. I don't think they keep both backs. Taylor is gone.

Rivers- Either the Jets or the Chargers. My vote goes for the Jets, but the majority think it's SD.

Foster- 5 teams got a vote, with Carolina getting 7. He'll stay and he will be their focus.

Givens- a tough one to figure. He stays with the Pats according to you. Wash and KC are options. No votes for Miami??

ARE- Chicago bound!

Bennett- All over the place again with this one. Most don't really care, but it looks like he'll be reunited with Denny.

Ricky- he's staying with Miami and won't get dealt. 4 other teams got votes.

CPepp- all votes go to Minny.

Looks like most expect Arizona to sign a RB, rather than draft one. I think they sign one and grab Cutler.= in the draft.

You don't think Indy keeps Edge or Wayne? Who do they franchise?

Chester Taylor - Cleveland - Dont know of anybody more interested than them.
Why would Cleveland want another mid-tier FA RB?FYI - Charlotte Observer said the Panthers may have an interest in Taylor in today's sports section.

TO to NE would never happen... :X Besides, we just signed another WR...

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots signed free agent wide receiver Zuriel Smith today. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Smith has been allocated to the NFL Europe League for its 2006 season.

for those predicting ARE to New England...

The Steelers two biggest unrestricted free agents will be receiver Antwaan Randle El and free safety Chris Hope, and both will attract many suitors. Patriots coach Bill Belichick, for example, loves Randle El and his versatility, and his team likely will make him a nice offer.

I'm still trying to figure out where Edge can end up. With Wayne signing a new deal with Indy it looks as if Edge is most likely gone. But with Carolina tagging Foster, I can only see him signing in two places, Arizona or Jacksonville, MAYBE Seattle but I doubt it. Where else, Minny?

I thought with FA starting Monday, this would be a good time to bump this and get a few more opinions. Some of these have cleared up since the last post, but most are still up in the air. Wayne, Rivers, Foster, and Ricky Williams situations are now known, so I have removed them. With all the talk about Randle El, what type of signing bonus do you think we are looking at? 4-6 million? 6-8? Maybe less? Just curious being that he is the only WR everyone seems to continue to mention(other than the headcase).

I thought I would give this one last shot before midnigt when FA begins. I've changed a few of mine. Also, Green and Alexander are off the list.

Brees won't end up in Detroit. Mike Martz's ego is far too big for him to afmit he can't turn Joey Harrington into a pro bowler.

My wild card in Detroit is Orvlosky. I think it will be the same situation as St. Louis, Martz will turn Harrington into a solid QB but Orvlosky will end up taking the job like Green/Warner/Bulger.

Yeah, I didn't feel very confident with that one, but if CPepp ends up in Miami, then where does Brees go? I don't buy the New Orleans rumors. I think the Jets will get Ramsey.

Just wondering when everyone thinks we'll know where TO plays in 2006.

This week, or will Philly hold off for awhile?

John Clayton said he would be cut midweek. I would think he would sign pretty quickly after that.

 I'm actually surprised that Philly can't even get a low round pick for him.

Or are they somehow better off cutting him, and running the risk of him signing with a division rival?

You're right on Taylor. A couple of weeks ago, everyone was assuming and it was reported that Taylor would resign and Lewis would be let go.
