Where to draft Portis? (1 Viewer)

Okay...I know Portis is hurt but I am salivating at the chance to grab him at 12 in the second round. Should I reach for him here or grab a healthy back such as McGahee?

I am actually having the some what same dilema. I am drafting 10th out of 10 and not sure that if Portis is there if i should take him or not. Portis like you said just looks way to good to pass up, but i dont like him being injured and the idea of Duckett taking the goaline carries away.

I know FOR SURE he'll be there at 12 in my draft. VBD ranks him at 15 with my scoring system, but I'm still afraid I'll be kicking myself if I let him go and he blows up in that Washington offense.

I have come to realize that I *have* to take him at the 12/13 turn. I will be able to grab him along with one of the following(non-ppr):

Lamont

FWP

McGahee

I'm drafting in one of the WCOFF Satellite leagues on Xpert Sports and he's still available at 10. I have the 11th pick and I've pre-drafted Lamont Jordan and Edge. Portis is #2 on my pre-draft list(behind Edge) for the 14th pick. Don't know if I'll get Portis there but I think he would play up to that slot. It's an interesting dilemna. I'd be interested to know where he's been getting picked in drafts that happened after the Duckett trade.

I drafted 9 out of 10 last week. It pained me to do it but I passed on Portis at the 12th. I went Rudi in the first and #85 in the 2nd. Debated for a short period of time and with Chad. Portis fell all the way to 3.1 - guy got a steal there. That being said in a keeper league the weekend he was hurt, I drafted Portis at 1.03 - eight hours before the injury. IMO opinion right now as 1st/ early 2nd round pick Portis is high risk-high reward. Late 2nd early 3rd, I think he is good value.

Thanks all for your input. I'm heading to my draft and debating between Portis and McGahee at 12....but leaning towards Portis.

Drafting this afternoon at that spot and have come to same conclusion --- if he's there. But, I think I'll take a WR over Parker/Willis. Just joined this league, so no idea about drafting tendenciesNevermind. They just redid draft order since a couple of us joined after. Now I have 8, so will only take him if he makes it back to me 2nd round.
