Had him pegged to get more than one point. Did he get reinjured?
Why did you say that? I've got Nicks and now will think about starting Moore all the way up to kickoff.Practiced fully all week. Removed from the injury report. Brees loves him and trusts him. Matchup looks like it will be high-scoring. On paper, there's certainly every reason to believe Moore will return to his PPR Gold status today. Not saying he's a Must Start but if you were planning on starting Moore before I don't see any reason to not follow through with that plan.
The first week he was out. Last week it didn't work out but that is no reason to bench or drop Lance Moore. I like him this week. He sounds good to go.People seem to be bailing on him.He was cut by a guy who I was just trying to trade with in my big league just 2 weeks a go. Got him for free, got to play him now.He is starting in Colstons spot...Colston is Brees favorite WR, so you do the math.
I think he only played about 15 snaps...it's not like he was on the field the whole time...folks might be overlooking that stat. I expect him to be on the field a lot more this week. The first week he was out. Last week it didn't work out but that is no reason to bench or drop Lance Moore. I like him this week. And he still got like 4 targets, I love him this week in a shootout, he was my WR sleeper this week.I think he only played about 15 snaps...it's not like he was on the field the whole time...folks might be overlooking that stat. Short roster league-14 man, start 2 RB, 2WR, and 1 Flex(RB/WR) and I have Hillis(out), Wells(Q), Lance Moore, and Denarius Moore to fill my flex and I am leaning Lance Moore. I understand Wells says he is good to go today but I am not liking the match up as much as I was earlier in the week. D.Moore I don't like against the Jets, so I am thinking strongly about Lance Moore. I don't know that I like Moore over Nicks. Nicks can explode and even if he is covered he can get open, hard to bench him...but I wouldn't think it was foolish going with Moore against the Texans. How much do you like him MOP? And to follow up on that JC, I think Sproles will see a slight downtick in targets too because he mostly has been used as a check down. Meachem can't get separation and I think Lance Moore will be able to creat some space against the Texans. This has the makings of a high scoring game so I agree with you. Lance Moore isn't even in FBG's top50 and that's a little concerning but I have seen plenty of WRs outplay their rankings. And he still got like 4 targets, I love him this week in a shootout, he was my WR sleeper this week.I think he only played about 15 snaps...it's not like he was on the field the whole time...folks might be overlooking that stat. I like Moore in Colstons position beter than Colston. Moore is quicker, faster, and more athletic...so his ability to do something after the catch is better as well. I expect the WR screen to Moore to be used a couple times today as well. And to follow up on that JC, I think Sproles will see a slight downtick in targets too because he mostly has been used as a check down. End stats rock but he was 4/37 deep into the 4th. No matter I love the outcome but it's worth discussing for next week.Wow, so tell me more about this Lance Moore guy.

glad to hear. i wasn't sure what to make of him with not having much production to start the game, but glad to hear it had more to do to Brees looking in other directions rather then Moore strugglingDrew didn't really look his way at all until the last two drives, but once he started he didn't stop. I was at the game so I don't know who was lined up on Lance, but I know he couldn't cover him. I wouldn't worry too much about how the game started, it was his first game back after being out for a couple weeks. He and Drew definitely looked to be on the same page to close out the game
I say it all the time, Until Colston is back in full swing (next week) you play Moore as if you drafted him to start. I think Colston plays to get his feet wet but will be uneffective, I think the saints dont have much of a run game...so it is pass until the last couple drives. How are you guys liking his match up today vs JAX? I'm not so much worried about the DEF so much as NO pulling out an early lead and then running the ball a lot.
My only problem with this is they have so many guys to go to, Graham, Moore, Colston, Henderson, Meachem.....I say it all the time, Until Colston is back in full swing (next week) you play Moore as if you drafted him to start. LOL, I love that all of a sudden because Henderson did well when two WRs were hurt, that he is all of a sudden a mouth to feed.He has been in this offense and never really got to the top for the fact that he is not good. He is their #4 WR, lol.ColstonMooreMeachemHendersonagain, how many of those WRs were banged up to give Hendy his production? Hendy only catches Deep bombs, and thats cuz Meachem was playing the slot when Moore and Colston were hurt.My only problem with this is they have so many guys to go to, Graham, Moore, Colston, Henderson, Meachem.....I say it all the time, Until Colston is back in full swing (next week) you play Moore as if you drafted him to start. Ok thanks for the info, if Colston starts today where do you think that puts Moore ?LOL, I love that all of a sudden because Henderson did well when two WRs were hurt, that he is all of a sudden a mouth to feed.He has been in this offense and never really got to the top for the fact that he is not good. From the other thread about Colston it seems like most posters here think that Colston won't be back at full speed, even if he actually 'starts' the game. His comeback from a broken colllarbone is way ahead of schedule, too far ahead for most to believe that he is at 100%. I'm still debating whether to start Moore today. I got burned last week leaving him on the bench, but MOP's note above about most of Moore's stats coming late in game give me pause. I don't think Jax will put up much of a fight offensively today, so I think Moore needs to be involved early in order to produce fantasy-wise.Ok thanks for the info, if Colston starts today where do you think that puts Moore ?LOL, I love that all of a sudden because Henderson did well when two WRs were hurt, that he is all of a sudden a mouth to feed.He has been in this offense and never really got to the top for the fact that he is not good. I think Moore is a Top 20 WR in all formats if Colston is out or limited. With Colston in the lineup, I'd view Moore as a strong WR3 (especially in PPR leagues) with Top 25 upside. Bottom line is I think he's a very good weekly starter if he's healthy. He's very talented, Brees loves him and you know the Saints will deliver in the passing game.if Colston starts today where do you think that puts Moore ?
Puts him in the slot, on underneath routes. Colston opens it up for him, imo--last year he had 8 td's IIRC, along with the second highest number of targets among the WR's. I'm starting him today, over either Bowe or Moss who both have better matchups by the numbers. Still sitting Dez and hope he doesn't even stress himself until after the bye. Wish Romo would sit, too.Ok thanks for the info, if Colston starts today where do you think that puts Moore ?LOL, I love that all of a sudden because Henderson did well when two WRs were hurt, that he is all of a sudden a mouth to feed.He has been in this offense and never really got to the top for the fact that he is not good. So he was on the field for less than half of NO's plays (33/81). I don't understand why Moore would get so little playing time after his week 3 performance (9-88-1, and 2 2-pt receptions).I'd like to start him week 5 in what could be a shootout against Carolina, but if he's only playing half the team's snaps then I'll look elsewhere.Moore saw only 33 snaps in Sunday's win in Jacksonville. Meanwhile, both Devery Henderson and Robert Meachem were each on the field for 62 plays, and Marques Colston saw only 20 snaps as he was on a limited "pitch count" coming back from injury, reports Jeff Duncan of the Times-Picayune.
COLSTON is getting worked back in. Understand now? lolFrom Yahoo's player notes for Moore.:

The Saints ran the ball a lot and Meachem/Henderson are the best blockers. One WR sets usually feature one of the two.lol ya so Meachem and Henderson doubled Moore's snaps because Colston was being worked back in.Seriously though, it would be good to know why that really happened. I guess the logical answer is its because of the formations they ran based on the game flow. Still...
Colston seen 20 snaps, lol. Also, Moore is not even a starter. They ran the ball 40 times vs Jax, and he's not often on the field when they run the ball (10-20% of his snaps). They are also very likely to run the ball alot vs Carolina. I suspect his percentage of the total snaps will again be low, but he'll still get 25-30 passing snaps. If the game is close or the saints are behind in the 4th quarter, he'll get a heavy dose of targets. If they get up on the panthers and run the ball the whole second half, his targets will be low.'D_House said:From Yahoo's player notes for Moore.:
