Where would you rank Keiland Williams going forward? (1 Viewer)

I just want to see what other owners think of this guy. I think he has a lot of potential, especially if Portis or Torain aren't back for a while. I would probably rank him around 25 right now, due to the uncertainty of when Torain or Portis are back, and how they will use all those backs in Washington. He seems like a weak rb2/flex player at this point, but with a lot of potential, and good upside in the short-term.

It really depends on Torain (and perhaps James Davis) not Portis. Portis at one point was an incredible RB in this league. That time is now over. Portis will never again be a legitimate RB in the NFL which is sad to say since he was so dominant at one time. The play is obviously to have both Torain and Kieland although it may be a bit too late to pick up Keiland now. But for those of us that do have Torain and Keiland on the same team, we kind of NEED a resolution to this. Either put Torain on IR, designate Kieland as the main RB, or let's get Torain healthy. If you have both on your team the only thing you can do is hold on to both, play Keiland until Torain is healthy, then sit them both for the first game both of them are active and see what Shannahan does in order to figure out who to drop and who to play.Right now i wouldn't rate Keiland very high because I don't know who will be the main back once Torain gets back. Any rating at this point would be worthless for this point. We need to wait until there is a resolution, then you can make a rating.

Agree with top 25 because of the uncertainty. Basically, if Torain's the lead dog, I have Keiland around 40 in PPR leagues (similar to Snelling w/ injury upside), but if Torain doesn't take the reigns, he has a chance to be top 8-15 RB. So I'd expect him around 25 in most rankings.

I'm goin with my gut here and only holding on to Keiland. I just don't have faith in Torain coming back productively this year. I did have him on my roster, but recently dropped him just to pick up Keiland which has worked out nicely so far. I believe Davis could come right in and make an impact, but I'm not picking him up until I see something.

I don't have enough knowledge of the Redskins to make a great, bold prediction. But my logic tells me that if Portis and Torain are out week 12, that he will get the bulk of the work, with Davis spelling him for a series or two. I don't understand why they would go away from Williams for Davis when Williams is doing well enough?

Maybe a homer can lend some insight, but I would rank him around 20 in PPR if he gets the bulk of the carries, especially if he can succeed in Shanny's system (which will use a RBBC but has definitely gone with a one horse backfield in the past).

So, :scared: for me hoping others can provide some insight.

I like Kieland BUT I fear Davis. Thing is that Shanahan wants Kieland to be the 3rd down back. Kieland had the big game against Philly and he rushed back portis to be the Starter and put Kieland back into the 3rd down role. Ofcourse we know that he was once again trust into the starting role when Portis went out again. I want to hear the practice reports this week. See if Davis is taking 1st team reps. I could see Davis playing on 1st and 2nd down and Keiland on 3rd and long downs. Its ShanaRat , who knows.

Keiland's big asset aside from his situation is his pass catching ability. In PPR that as much as doubles his value in a given week. If he can learn to pick up blitzers, he can be a three-down back or will at least get a good amount of work behind a primary back. He's defintely worth rostering and could end up being a solid RB2 in leagues next season.
