How exactly does Radiohead rock? I admit I think that they suck and that is just an opinion, but that isn't the question at hand. At one time they were part of the grunge culture and tried to "rock". The most recent stuff of theirs just seems to be mellow, whiny crap. Not here to bash the band.....just want to know how they "rock?"

A lot of stuff has been covered I would've listed - Silversun Pickups, Black Keys, Opeth, Muse, etc...

Couple that I didn't see listed yet: Queens of the Stone Age and Mastodon. Oh yeah, and Maiden still rocks.

They are capable of rocking (The Bends, some stuff on Hail to the Thief). They just don't rock consistently. But that's ok, because they're still more innovative and interesting than 90% of the bands out there.

In Absentia was awesome, but most of Porcupine Tree's stuff in recent years has been underwhelming, IMO.Muse can rock when they want to but should do it more often. They're kinda in the Radiohead category for me -- interesting music, great musicianship, but should try to rock more often.
