If you had to choose one of the following kickers, which would you prefer for the team that you root for?

1) This kicker will make an incredibly high % of kicks under 40 yds (say > 95%) and some under 45 yds but simply doesn't have the leg to hit any 50+ yd FGs.

2) This kicker will be inconsistent from all distances, even as close as 30 yds. However, he has the leg to hit 50-60 yd FGs with the same regularity as other distances (say, 70-80%).

Which would you prefer?

give me the guy who is on the team that has trouble scoring TDs.

usually tho, i go with the guy with the bigger foot. in my league, all kicks under 50 only score 3, but you get 5 over 50. and there is no penalty for missing at any distance.

Accuracy - I think it'd be easier to coach/strategize/call plays when you can rely on your kickers determined range and not have to factor potential for misses in decision-making.

Scratch my above post. With the numbers you've provided I think, doing some quick mental math, the second choice gives you great expected value.

For an actual NFL team, not fantasy. That's why I stated above "for the team you root for".
