I'm ok with the draft, these other two are about as boring as sports gets. I've watched ten minutes of the combine over the years, no idea why men would want to watch other men with short shorts chasing balls for hours. NFL training camps are yawners, just 1.5 months of predictable narrative with a handful of surprises.

It is the combine and it isn't even close... The combine leads to the draft, so the draft dominates between those two. Training camp is in itself not that exciting (some positional battles, some semantics, and some other boring stuff), but the excitement is elevated due to the season almost being here.

The most boring NFL events might be the games in which you have no rooting interest, no fantasy implications and no money on the line.

First 2 rounds of the draft are awesome and by this time of the year I'll watch/read anything training camp related. Combine? I'll read the results later. Can't be bothered watching prospects run between cones and catch passes.

Why do people watch any of these things?

Hell the real games are almost getting too tedious to watch..

I can't even imagine someone willing to sit through a combine, draft, schedule selection show, pre-game show, post-game show, halftime show, NFL today, etc.

Who has time for that? And if they do have that time, surely... SURELY there is something better to do that will either generate revenue or enrich their lives moreso.

Welcome to middle age, brother. :hifive:

I watch redzone live, everything else is pretty much highlites.

Training Camp is good. You get the building anticipation of the season, the news breaks and fluff pieces that make-or-break the fantasy draft, and, Hard Knocks comes back.

Not a big NFL fan huh?

p.s. You can probably close this poll already. It's a runaway.

I agree, that and my Lions. If not for fantasy, I'm not sure I would care much. It's just not as good of a product as it used to be.

The draft is an oasis of football in the the Sahara that is Spring and Summer.

How there's a single vote for it is baffling to me.

if someone told me they watched the first round, I would understand that choice. Beyond that you're wasting time

I'm a fan of actual gameplay of either my hometown team or for some of the players I may have on my fantasy team... or an interesting game in my pick 'em league.

Of course it's wasting time. So is SportsCenter. So are games. So is the Super Bowl.

But to me, it's a highly entertaining waste of time. YMMV.

I'll never watch or follow the draft or combine - could not possibly care less. But I do enjoy going up to Green Bay to take in a couple practices each summer with my son, but only as an excuse to take a family trip, stay at a water park, etc. They have a great set up at Ray Nitschke Field, with bleachers for fans, plus its very convenient to check out the Packer Hall of Fame, do a stadium tour at Lambeau, pro shop, etc.

Watching the Super Bowl or a meaningful game is a fun experience often with ""real"" things on the line like the success of your fantasy football team, or your wager for the week, or your hometown team you support.

The endless analysis of things that have already happened or that might happen or may materialize is what is excessive.

Yeah, Hard Knocks definitely adds value to training camp season.

The pro bowl is boring and I might have seen 20 minutes of it in the last 3 years, but honestly, gun to your head you have to watch that or the combine, the choice is simple.

It's entertainment. That's it. That's why you put "real" in quotes.

To me, watching football talk, learning about the rookies coming in, and seeing lots of highlights is a spectacularly entertaining way to spend a weekend in the middle of a six-month football drought.

Once again, YMMV.

I play almost exclusively in dynasty leagues now so the draft/training camp is extremely interesting to me on a FF level.

Think I saw it mentioned, but making a special out of the schedule unveiling is ridiculous to me. We all know everyone's opponents the day after the season, so it's just the order they're announcing. It's awful.
