Which QB has more value TODAY? (1 Viewer)

Yes, one more BF post.

Who do you see as having more fantasy impact as of today? In other words if you could have only 1 on your roster who would you rather have as of today.

While Favre has more upside if he goes to Minny or Chicago (or even if he is somehow named the starter in GB) I would rather have Rodgers. He's a sure thing to start this year. I'm not so sure that Favre is.

Redraft or dynasty? Overall, or relative to ADP? I assume you're asking redraft, and relative to ADP.

My assumption is that Favre likely wins his starting job back, and his durability is such that Rodgers has next to zero value in redraft.

In dynasty, it gets complex because if Rodgers doesn't play this year he likely leaves as a FA next offseason; and does Favre retire again? It is just very difficult to project either guy beyond 2008.

How precisely is Rodgers a sure thing to start this year? I don't get it.

He's a first round selection at QB who fell well past where people thought he might go who has gotten precious little action his first three years. I see no value there.

Favre in a walk, even if Favre is just an average QB as some have suggested.

Let me change my vote here. I hadn't yet read where Favre may be competing for his starting job. In that case he obviously wins. The last thing that I had read was that they were going to trade him or make him ride the bench. However, if he gets the starting nod in GB he'll be a top 10 QB for sure.I would still hate to spend a middle round pick on him and then have him not play at all. But the risk is tempting, to say the least.

Beware of the Madden curse ;)
