Which QBs could take over? (1 Viewer)

Hasselbeck is already going to get at least one start. Many people feel Tebow will get a chance in NY. Who are the other QBs to pick up preemptively in case something goes awry? What situations do you see as not locked in stone?

Skelton - one solid tackle on Kolb away from a start?

Flynn - Wilson seems to be having some struggles.

Foles - Vick seems to be getting protected better, but hasn't finished 16 games in a while.

Any others?

My biggest question is will Griffin last the season if he continues to take the hits he's been taking? If not then you can add Kirk Cousins to this list.

One of the owners in my money league (who I consider a shark) picked up Flynn last night off of free waivers. Usually he doesn't make this kind of move unless somethings up.

Flynn seems like the most obvious choice.

In a deep league, Shaun Hill is worth a stash - one of the best backups around, but will only play in the event of an injury.

Tebow will be starting by Halloween if you stomach it. Recommend not watching any games, it's pretty ugly - but he is the J-E-T-S best runner.

If Wilson struggles this week then Flynn will be in.

Amazed that Kansas City haven't made a move to pick up Hoyer. Cassel is dreadful, and his back ups are worse.

In event of injury I have to think Hill (Detroit), Orton (Dallas), Flynn (Seattle), Grossman (Washington) and Campbell (Chicago) would be the only ones worth anything in fantasy redraft leagues.

I think any of the backups on high scoring teams, New Orleans, Green Bay, Atlanta, etc. would have fantasy relevance in the event of injury.

Unless you're in a deep dynasty league though, I'm not sure they'd be worth grabbing.

The one caveat for me however is that if I have a QB on a high scoring offense with great receivers, I'll pick up the backup QB and drop my lower level backup guy following the bye week. For instance, last year I had Aaron Rodgers and backed him up with Matt Flynn after the GB bye. I dropped Ryan Fitzpatrick to do that.

:goodposting: Was checking in to make sure he was mentioned. While Cutler is clearly a superior arm, if he were to get injured, I think Campbell would still put up solid QB2+ numbers - fairly easily. Campbell, honestly could be starting on some teams in the NFL...like the one the Bears are playing this week.
