Both of these guys have had pretty great rookie years. Bradford took a team that had come off one of it's worst seasons in its history and had them contending for a playoff spot year one. Colt has played some of the best teams in the NFL and performed at an extremely high level (93 QB rating, 8 ypa, 65% completion rating) but hasn't played for the period of time that Bradford has. If I had to choose the guy who has impressed me the most, I'd go with McCoy, simply because of how unreal good his numbers are considering the teams he's played.

I gotta admit, I didn't think McCoy had it in him. Looks like I missed badly on him. That said, I'm still more impressed with Bradford's season. It's difficult to articulate, but for me the revealing stat is attempts per game. In six starts, McCoy's attempted 30+ twice and fewer than 20 twice. Now it's NO fault of McCoy's, but it seems like the Browns are keeping the kid in bubble wrap, thus the insane comp. %.

Bradford meanwhile, has surpassed 40 attempts six times in 14 games and never once had fewer than 25 attempts in any game and still been up to the task. He's only the third rookie to pass for 3,000+ in a season and could reach 20 TD's. That's simply not supposed to happen. I can't wait to see him with a Pro Bowl receiver when he actually knows what he's doing.

But yeah, tip of the hat to McCoy.

:banned: I voted Bradford because he is going to be a top 5 fantasy QB in the near future. He is so accurate. When he gets some help at WR he is going to light it up. McCoy has impressed me. I can see him becoming a very solid QB2 for any fantasy team in time.

I haven't watched the Browns since McCoy started but I liked the kid in college a lot. Statistically, he hasn't played that much better than Seneca Wallace but how has he looked?

Big XII QBs rock the house!

Bradford looks like a top QB1 for a long time. His potential is in the conversation with people like Peyton, Brady, etc.. He has a great arm, prototypical size, and is very advanced mentally.

McCoy had a good rookie year. Obviously he has to prove he can play at this level and stay healthy. At 6'1" 216 he is pretty small for a QB and his scrambling ability/tendency make is even more likely that he will have trouble making it through 16 (or 18) games in a season. He was downgraded going into the draft for that very reason, so scouts would probably tell you he did exactly what they expected: played well when healthy, which wasn't all that often.
