I say this as a guy who trained in BJJ, by the way. I respect the art. I respect MMA fighters. I also know the limitations.

Against a bigger, stronger, capable wrestler with literally no holds barred, it's as useless as Tae Kwon Do. Against somebody like a SEAL trained in combatives, ditto.

Don't know why we insist on trying to make things more than they are.
I don't think it's possible to train with serious fighters and think this way. It's the internet, so pretty much everyone "trained in BJJ," but spend 10 minutes with a pro fighter and you'll laugh at the utter nonsense of your post.

NFL vs NBA... These aren't the guys you send in the front lines, but a few soldiers starting it off...

Jo-Lonn Dunbar 6' 235 LB and Donte Green 6'11" 225 Center... From all of the digging I have done, it looks like Dunbar was giving Greene's brother a beating (who you have to assume is absolute minimum 6'6") and Greene came up behind Dunbar and starting swinging from the back (like a #####)... He was then tased and dropped.

Even with the ridiculous height advantage, I think once Dunbar gets on the inside of a guy like Greene, it is lights out.

That is assuming he gets inside. That is the whole point of a height/reach advantage.
The guy is almost 7' and weighs 225... It isn't like he is a trained fighter. I think an NFL linebacker like Dunbar who is probably 3-4x stronger than this guy gets in on him.

If we are talking Zach Randolph or someone carrying a decent amount of weight at that height, then I'd call in my OL and DL.

I agree. An NFL linebacker bum rushes anybody and he is going to get in on him. That is sort of what his job description requires of him.

Exactly, he is paid a lot of money to make his way through the biggest baddest men on Earth, just to tackle elite athletes once he has made it through.
