Which Studs sit next week? (1 Viewer)

Peyton?

Addai?

Brady? (NO)

Moss? (NO)

LT2?

Holt? Injury concerns might keep him limited or shut down for the rest of the season?

ANyone else on your list?

I expect Addai to split carries more evenly with Keith. The others I wouldn't worry about.

One guy not on your list who might be worth watching is Westbrook. The Eagles have been eliminated, and if he's banged up, I think they might consider sitting him.

IND is the only playoff-bound team with that will be playing for nothing in week 16. They are already locked in as the #2 seed. NE still has a chance to go undefeated, so they have something to play for. All other teams are still jockeying for position, so week 16 shouldn't see any healthy studs benched. Now, if a team gets locked into a specific seed before their game starts, things may change. But, as it sits right now, IND is the only team you have to worry about.

I think after falling flat against Pittsburgh two years ago and winning the SB last year without a bye, I don't think IND will rest players in week 16. They'll take it easy in week 17 but they won't want three weeks of meaningless games or no games before a playoff contest.

With the elimination of the Eagles last night, anyone think the always nicked up Westbrook takes a breather for my Super Bowl this weekend??

I am considering playing Kenton Keith (yes, my roster is that thin) in the playoffs this week. I think Addai definitely gets some time off the next two weeks.

Colts coach Tony Dungy confirmed Monday that he won't rest his starters in Week 16 against the Texans.

An undefeated Colts team in 2005 sat starters in Weeks 16 and 17 and came out flat against Pittsburgh in the playoffs. "A month is a long time," Dungy said, referring to the time before Indianapolis would play its next game with a first-round bye already in hand. The Colts' victory over Oakland Sunday assured them of the No. 2 seed in the AFC. Dec. 17 - 4:48 pm et

Normally I'd say "Coach speak" but Tony Dungy is not a Liar.

it's week 17 I'd be worried about as an Addai owner. I think they play all their guys this week , and 1 qtr week 17.

Oh and I'M sitting Gates.
any word on gates and the chargers in general? gates is banged up and with the division clinched, i can see him resting more than usual. the only position SD will be jockeying for is either a 3 or 4 seed, which either way, means a home field wild card game then on the road to indy or NE. i guess a 3 seed would mean a matchup vs. JAX or PITT/CLEV then on to indy. a 4 seed, ditto the same possibilities except a road game vs NE.

Gates was out there with the rest of the starters last week. They didnt pull him earlier like they did Tomlinson. I think he's fine and I doubt he sits.

Holt is just playing through minor injuries, so do the Rams give him the time off to heal and save him for next year? What do they have to play for at this point and risk further injury to their #1 WR?

I wish they just sit him. I can't stand the agony of either outcome.

What's the opinion on Brady against the Fins? On the bench by the second quarter perhaps? If you had Big Ben as a backup, would you consider starting him over Brady?

Food for thought - For teams with locked up bye weeks, it might make more sense to rest guys a bit *this* week rather than next. Resting guys on week 17, then having a bye, means three weeks between games - a loong time.

If it were up to me (and sadly, it isn't), I'd look for them to get some rest this week instead (maybe play a half), then play them almost a full game next week.

I'm a Brady owner and I'm in our auction league Super Bowl. The Patriots still have the undefeated season to go after and Brady still has the TD record to go after. I'm hoping for five TD's and then they can sit him in the fourth quarter.

Just five? That's a bit much. I bet he throws two, and sits after half with a 28-0 lead. Disclaimer, playing Brady owner this week

Realistically (and assuming that the weather is not an issue), Brady throws for 275 and 3 TD's and sits after the Patriots' first series in the third quarter. The good news is that I have the Patriots defense and my opponent has Randy Moss (who would sit with Brady).

Not that he is a "STUD" but does Tampa rest Graham at all this week?

I see that Pittman & Bennett got a few more carries than normal last week.

The Rams only have two games left, Holt will play like he normally does. If Bulger is out there continuing to get smacked around like he normally does you can bet Holt is going to be out there.

If Gates is going to give me another goose egg, I'd just as soon have the Chargers sit him. At least I'd be able to play the super stud LJ Smith in his absence.

Thats because Tampa blew them out. Gruden already stated its business as usual this week, whether he pulls a Shanahan on FFL players remains to be seen.

Graham will play...he sat last week because Tampa was kicking the crap out of Atlanta. They could of course blow SF out, but, I don't think that will happen as they are making a long trip out west.

I'm playing in my Superbowl this week against the LT2 owner - any chance we see a lot of Turner since they clinched?

ETA - Oops.....just saw this.....

Dec 17 Turner will have an MRI on his shoulder Monday after having his shoulder pop in Sunday's game, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Recommendation: We should know more about the extent of the injury in the next day or two. If he can't go, Darren Sproles should be LaDainian Tomlinson's backup for the final two games of the season.

Guess that will decrease LT2's chances of sitting, right?
