Tomlinson is losing his magnificence some but IMO not til he's done. Aside from the obvious rushing and recieving stuff, his ability to score 3 and 4 touchdowns in a game is worrisome to me.could we pull the plug on the freaking chargers, already?the brain died 3 months ago.
i second. but i still don't see them scoring enough points to win.Jacksonville.They have the kind of potent ground attack, low-risk passing game and elusive QB that would give the Pats defense fits.Their defense is stout against the run and they can get pressure with their front 4.I honestly don't want any part of that team in the playoffs.
Dallas is definitely worth consideration, but theyve still got to reach the Superbowl, and that's IF NE even gets there. But that's an overconfident bunch, imo. Theyre going to end up putting alot of pressure on themselves with all the smack they talk. Theyll have to take care of business twice before they get the shot at a rematch. And as much as I like Romo, he still hasnt won a playoff game. I think he can get it done, but you never know. We've seen equally good teams go down in the playoffs ('04 15-1 Steelers come to mind). Indy just deserves more respect here because theyve got a better chance of actually facing NE, imo. And theyre a strong and dangerous team.No mention of Dallas yet? I know NE already beat them once, but I think they can score with the Pats on any given sunday.
Oh Indy can beat them too, but it would probably be in Foxboro. Without Freeney.Dallas is definitely worth consideration, but theyve still got to reach the Superbowl, and that's IF NE even gets there. But that's an overconfident bunch, imo. Good call with Jacksonville. Hopefully the weather would work in our favor. The Steelers scare me too. I guess we'll find out this weekend if that feeling is justified. They have a good running game and a good defense as well.i second. but i still don't see them scoring enough points to win.Jacksonville.They have the kind of potent ground attack, low-risk passing game and elusive QB that would give the Pats defense fits.Their defense is stout against the run and they can get pressure with their front 4.I honestly don't want any part of that team in the playoffs.
This would be my choice were I a Pats fan. They have the high powered offense to go toe to toe with Brady/Moss/Welker, and right now, believe it or not, their defense might be getting better while NE's is getting worse. At least their pass rush with Ware et al could give Brady more fits than most, as the Pats OL doesn't fare well agianst speed rushers (see BAL turning Light/Kazcur into subway turnstiles on MNF).No mention of Dallas yet? I know NE already beat them once, but I think they can score with the Pats on any given sunday.
I have the opposite perspective. Jax was built to stop the Colts and they can't even get that done due to weak coaching and weak receiving corps. Earlier this year, I thought Jax may have turned the corner, but they are still a B grade team as evidenced by their inability to cope with the Colts.Jacksonville.They have the kind of potent ground attack, low-risk passing game and elusive QB that would give the Pats defense fits.Their defense is stout against the run and they can get pressure with their front 4.I honestly don't want any part of that team in the playoffs.

Whatever dude. The Colts are one of the 2 best teams in football. The Jaguars are in the top 10, but if you don't accept the statements that Jax was built to stop the Colts and have demonstrated an inability to accomplish the design objective you aren't familiar with their organization. I have lived in Jacksonville for the last 8 years and followed the trials and tribulations of the Jags on an ongoing basis, so take your blanket statements and go away.Classic disrespect by a Pats fan.I have the opposite perspective. I accept/agree both statements about Jacksonville. You wrote your statement as if putting together a team to beat the Colts is pretty easy. If that wasnt your intention that forget I said anything.Whatever dude. The Colts are one of the 2 best teams in football. I agree that they were built to stop the Colts. But I don't agree that you can say that "they can't even get that done". The Jags give the Colts fits and I know they lost both games to them this year, but the first they lost their QB in the first quarter so that's not representative of what they are capable of. And the 2nd game was very close because of two key Turnovers (1 a fumble by Garrard deep in their own territory, and an INT deep in Indy territory that bounced off the recievers facemask (read a fluke INT)) My point is Jacksonville was and is capable of beating the Colts, even though they lost to them (just like Indy is capable of beating NE despite losing them.) If I was NE, the one team I'd want to avoid is Jacksonville. They run the ball hard, play good defense (when healthy) and limit mistakes (usually, although there were 3 costly ones in the Indy game). Their offense isn't flashy, but it's capable of putting up some points. I think most agree that they don't think Jacksonville can beat NE in a 45-42 game. But to think they aren't capable of beating them in a 28-24 game is a mistake IMO.Whatever dude. The Colts are one of the 2 best teams in football.
