I have to assume this is a dynasty format.  Are there any restrictions on how long you can keep someone?  Are there any penalties (round lost, salary cap, etc) for the keepers?  How many people can you keep?  All of this would be helpful for this evaluation.

Without knowing any of this I will say that McKinnon is your best bet for help in the current year.  If you are competing for a title (which it looks like you took a big hit at QB due to injuries so that might not be possible) I would keep McKinnon or I would look to move him for immediate QB help if you still have  shot.

For future value you should be set for QB starters for the next few years with Watson & Rodgers.  That will put you head and shoulders above everyone else provided they stay healthy for at least another 3 or so years.  Mahomes is nice insurance but he is needed.

McKinnon is a free agent after this year.  You have no idea what kind of value he may have for next year because there are way too many variables.  His value is all tied to his current year because it is just a guess if he will have any value at all next year.   Jones has shown well with Rodgers under center but has done nothing with Hundley there.  Assuming Rodgers comes back healthy I would expect the Packers to use Jones next year as their feature back which should be a solid starter.  I like him moving forward.  Williams is nice as insurance to Jones in case he gets injured or fades.

Bottom line, if you are still in contention for this year and I would try and trade for immediate QB help for now and make a run.  If you are punting I would move McKinnon for the GB RB's.

However, this could change based on answers to the above.

Thanks very much for the reply. Apologies for missing out those key points. I dont really do many redraft leagues so forget sometimes to make that point in my posting.

I'm in a strange situation in that my starting lineup is decimated but I'm actually still in with a shout of getting in to the playoffs. More than likely I will be missing out as Bortles is my only starting QB and my RB/WR corps is fairly weak outside of Cook/OBJ/Jordy. In all likelyhood I'll be in the bottom half with a decent pick next year (I'm 4-5 but so are 4 other teams and one of the teams is in the playoff spot via points scored). I think I should be okay with Bortles as a backup next year and maybe McCarron gets a good gig so Mahomes isnt exactly what I need. I do like him a lot, though... :wall:

At the minute this is the only offer on the table for McKinnon. I've owned him since he came into the league so have a bit of a connection to him but understand that there's no place for sentiment in fantasy :D . I would have a lot of Packers next year if I took the Jones/Williams trade but they're not a bad team to be invested in (should Rodgers stay fit that is). I'll keep thinking on it for a while but I'm leaning towards taking Jones/Williams for him.

With Smith playing well there is no need to rush Mahomes in. Mahomes value may dip in the offseason or later in the year assuming smith continues to play well. If smith gets an extension then you have a prime time to buy mahones low.

Mckinnon is a free agent next season, and for the first time in his career be able to choose his team. Depending on where he lands things could work out very well for him. He has lots of talent, and flashed a bit, but still has some uncertainty. Id love to see him somewhere like Washington or with the Colts.

The free agency uncertainty makes me lean towards the GB rbs because you know they are under their rookie contracts for a few years. If you have to make a choice I would move nelson in the offseason with the prospect of Rodgers returning. Someone on the cusp of playoff contention is likely to bite. Moving and older wr who still has lots of name recognition before he passes his prime.
