WOW!
Awesome catch. Dude was trucking when he saw that thing come off the bat.
that was pretty damn funny. I wondered if someone else thought so.Wise's catch was tremendous. The highlight of the day, however, was Harrelson after the blonde interviewed Buehrle on the field:'Thanks honey'
Oh great, I just heard the Sox broadcast of it.I cringed before, and puked after. That bumbling idiot yells "YES" as loud as he possibly can, at least 5 times. How pathetic. Who does that? I mean what "professional" acts like that? Yeah, we know, you and your ego were at that game. Seriously, what a loser.

Buddy, he's the worst. How do you blow(hard) such a great moment? Do you like him, Henry?easy there Daniel.Oh great, I just heard the Sox broadcast of it.I cringed before, and puked after. I like him in small doses. Been listening to him for years. Don't like all the ticky tack stuff during games (balls, strikes, etc.), but I had no problem with his calls down the stretch. MERCY!
Not even close to the worst. When there's a historic sporting event, its way better that the commentator has some personality. It makes it that much more memorable.Although i would love to see a Blue Jays pitcher throw a no-hitter/perfect game, i cringe at the thought of Jamie Campbell calling it.Buddy, he's the worst. Dude, any dumb drunk can do that. Sorry, but screaming (literally) "YES!" five times is not personality. As the whole thing unfolds, THAT is what he ends up coming up with? Really? It's the ultimate, "LOOK AT LISTEN TO ME!" -- everything baseball isn't.Not even close to the worst. Would you rather this have been said after the final out: "And Mark Buerhle has thrown the 18th perfect game in MLB history!" followed by a 30 second pause? When a historic event occurs, i don't wanna hear some generic line right after it happens. Also, how does YES = listen to/look at me?Dude, any dumb drunk can do that. she was smoking hot, but dumb as a bag of baseballs. if i knew what college she had slept her way to a degree from, i'd boycott them. it had been a whole 5 minutes since wise's catch and she asked buehrle what he thought of wise's catch for the SECOND OUT OF THE INNING.that was pretty damn funny. He bobbled it because he hit the wall at the same time the ball landed in his glove. Definitely wasn't showboating - too much was on the line.Awesome, and that catch, wow. And Wise had just come into the game. How 'bout that for a managerial move, however obvious it may have been?Looking at the catch again just now, he probably doesn't bobble it if he wasn't holding it up to celebrate -- that's when it comes out. Man, he's lucky he caught it that second time.

You're right, he wasn't showboating, I watched it a bunch more times. He definitely opened the glove up though, just slightly, as he was falling down, to let the ball settle in the pocket instead of the web, and that's when it came out. I'm sure he did this thinking knowing that when he hits the ground, it could come out if it was high in the webbing / not secure.SecondCity34 said:He bobbled it because he hit the wall at the same time the ball landed in his glove. MINNEAPOLIS -- Chicago White Sox ace Mark Buehrle set a major league record by retiring 45 consecutive batters. Coming off a perfect game in his last start against Tampa Bay, Buehrle retired the first 17 Minnesota Twins batters on Tuesday night to surpass the record of 41 in a row set by and San Francisco's Jim Barr in 1972 and tied by teammate Bobby Jenks, a reliever, in 2007.Buehrle retired 27 in a row against the Rays in his last start, the 18th perfect game in baseball history, then breezed through the first five innings against the Twins to break the record. His bid for a second consecutive perfect game -- no pitcher in baseball history has achieved the feat -- ended with a walk to Alexi Casilla on a close call with two outs in the sixth. The Metrodome crowd stood and cheered after the walk, trying to rattle Buehrle. Then Denard Span followed with a single to break up the no-hitter.The Twins flashed the record on the main scoreboard. On the record-breaking play, Buehrle induced former teammate Joe Crede to hit a soft grounder to Alexei Ramirez at shortstop. He smiled after Paul Konerko made a nifty scoop of a low throw at first base for the second out of the inning. The ball was thrown into the White Sox dugout as a keepsake.Buehrle then induced Brendan Harris to groundout to shortstop to end the fifth inning and keep his perfect game going. The performance comes against a Twins team that he has had difficulty with in the past. His 23 career victories against the Twins are his most against any opponent. But four hitters in the lineup on Tuesday night had career averages of .316 or better against the lefty.
He is an acquired taste no doubt.I like Hawk Harrelson.he used to announce Red Sox games way back when.
Awesome...45 straight batters retired is a ML record
