Not because of the Linebrink signing. The Garland/Cabrera deal was very questionable, but Linebrink was a nice signing. 31 years old, 4 year deal.I feel real sorry to be a White Sox fan this time of year.
Curious as to why you think this. I felt Linebrink was one of the best relievers on the market, including closers. Looks like a fair deal to me.4 years for a reliever?? For Linenbrink??Bad signing
His numbers are not trending well...he is becoming very prone to HRs, and seems to have lost the ability to strike anyone out (check his K/9 last year). He is not the type of guy I want to lock up 4 years with. Then again, at least he is better then JC RomeroCurious as to why you think this. Linenbrink is an A, but Chicago doesn't have to give up its first round pick. It pays to suck sometimes. Teams who have picks 1-15 don't have to give up their first rounder. So Chicago loses its second round pick, and Milwaukee also gets a sandwich pick.shadyridr said:Wasnt he a class A Free Agent?
