Who Are Considered the Best Fullbacks in NFL? (1 Viewer)

I've said in previous posts that I (and others) think that offensive line quality is one of the great underrated factors in determining the value of skill position players.

Another underrated factor that I haven't seen discussed much are the impact of top flight Fullbacks on various Running Backs.

Lorenzo Neal comes to mind as one of the premiere FBs - constantly opening holes for LT2. But my knowledge doesn't extend very far beyond that.

Who are considered the other top-flight FBs in the NFL right now?

In an MFL league with mandatory FB's....you're likely to find that FB's are still listed as RB's. So, it's like mining for Gold. These come to mind:

1.) Ovie Mughelli ATl

2.) Justin Griffith OAK

3.) The "new Kid" in STL....Brian Leonard.

Out of these three, Leonard will be the most consistent, in a race with the other two, because he'll be the better receiver (PPR Leagues) and get some goal line work.

Mughelli is a large (literally) sleeper, agressively persued, by ATL, as a FA (from BAL). He's a beast and will get a lot of goal line work (TD Leagues).

All will be fun to follow. Depend on your league's scoring system to determine who's your man.

Moran Norris is one of the best fullbacks in the league, he won't get you points but he's along the lines of a Lorenzo neill type of fullback.

These are the guys I like the most.Mike Karney, New OrleansDan Kreider, PittsburghLorenzo Neal, San DiegoMack Strong, SeattleThere aren't many guys like these still in the league.

I was thinking the OP was asking about real-life-valuable FBs instead of fantasy-valuable FBs.

If it's the former, C&C nailed it. Neal is still a great blocker going into his 12th NFL season. Karney's just about as good at tagging LBs, and he also has outstanding hands.

Yes, I was talking about real-life valuable FBs that in turn help the fantasy prospects of RBs i.e. Lorenzo Neal with LT2. Sorry. I should have clarified that. What team does Moran Norris play for?

Man, that is one area where the Saints, under all of the past regimes, both good, bad and ugly, has drafted well, is with pure FB. The Saints drafted Terrelle Smith, and Moran Norris, and Mike Karney, and all of them are lead-blocking beasts.
