who are the "buy now" players ? bounce back guys (1 Viewer)

Guys like Jordan maybe, who was a top 10 RB two years ago, fell hard, and is looking at later in the year competition between him, Rhoades and maybe even Bush.

Or Chester Taylor, Vick, Trent Green, etc ?

Who do you think could be bounce back players ?

I think you can get C. Brown cheap. IF he stays healthy he will have a solid season, but that is a big IF

I'll be releasing a pre-camp buy low/sell high very soon.
  Your title is inconsistent. Do you want "Bounce back" players or Sleepers? "Buy now" can mean either. I'm going with "bounce-back":QB: Ben Roethlisberger - albeit, perhaps not a true "buy now" as his owners probably still like the guy a lotRB: Clinton Portis - already discussed a LOT, but at his current value, I'm buying.WR: (tie) Hines Ward and Randy Moss - both will see better QB play this year, Moss's value is probably all over the place, but could be a good buy.TE: Ben Troupe - Scaife is a concern, but he's just too talented and the need for a go-to receiver too great to pass on him right now.

Lamont Jordan - the offense s/b better by default w/o the innkeeper calling plays for that statue Walters. If they are cautious with Mike Bush, i.e. PUP, with Rhodes now suspended four games, Jordan could get on a role and has the talent to justify holding the job.

Chris Chambers - he's good every other year.

Randy Moss - he's motivate to win a ring and reclaim his legacy.

Justin McCareins - relative to numbers for a WR3, but with a workhorse RB in place and a nice young line, that offense is ready to be more dynamic.

Daniel Graham - Scheffler and Alexander crowd the situation, but I think Shanny paid top money for a two-way threat that was underutilized in a crowded situation in NE. Plus the young QB and questionable WR corps (after Walker) make the TE targets look appealing in Denver.

I don't have a buy low/sell high article coming out, so here's my two cents . . .

QB

Vick - I can't see him getting suspended this year--there's not enough time. He'd have to be charged and convicted (or plead guilty to) something through the court system. We're almost in August and the courts take time. The NFL season will be done in basically 5 more months and he hasn't even been charged with anything yet.

Green - He's fallen so far that he's worth adding as a backup. He was Top 10 for 4 years in a row prior to last year. He probably won't be that again, but even Jay Fiedler was Top 10 in Miami.

Leftwich - He's actually done well fantasy wise/PPG in the games he's played. And he's getting drafted after Green. Jags supposedly trying to infuse the offense with more passing.

RB

Green - He was Top 15 last year in GB missing some time and the Texans have had a decent running attack. THe Texans RB corps scored almost as many fantasy points as GB did, yet Green is going as RB25+.

JJones - Jones is the starter and Barber the backup, yet Jones can be drafted two rounds later and should see more receptions this year.

Jordan - I'm not a Jordan fan, but Rhodes will be suspended and Bush probably will go on the PUP list to start the regular season. IMO, that leaves Jordan as the starter and available as an 8th round pick.

Foster - I'm not a Foster fan either, but from all I can tell he's starting for now and Williams is not. Yet D-Will is going 5 rounds earlier. Over the past five years, the primary ball carrier has averaged 21+ touches a game (although with all the injuries it appears to be a RBBC when it really hasn't been). Too bad he's allergic to the end zone.

WR

It's no secret I like Housh, Colston, and Driver in the early rounds. For mid- to later round guys:

Holmes - Put up very good numbers in about 3/4 of a season and should do way better than his WR 35 or so ADP.

Bruce - People keep saying he's done yet he keeps churning out Top 25 seasons. Yet his ADP is in the mid 40s.

RWilliams - Someone will have to emerge in JAC and with an ADP in the 50s I'm guessing it's Williams.

Welker - I keep hearing he's the next Troy Brown. Brown usually ranked in the 20s to 40s. Welker is going around WR60.

Booker - Stats have gotten better each year in MIA as the QB play has gotten worse. And his ADP is in the 60s.

Walter - His ADP is around WR 85 or 90. For now he is starting on a team that should pass more (and more effectively).

Bradley - He's shown signs in CHI and has been not getting drafted in most leagues. Worth a flyer in deep leagues.

Stovall - Ditto for Stovall in TB (except for having shown signs).

TE

Cooley - Check out his numbers playing with Campbell. They were almost as good as Gates.

Davis - I think Davis 07 may = Winslow 06.

Martin - McMichael had big numbers in MIA. Green had big numbers with Tony G. Cameron put up big numbers with Gates in SD. Yet he is going undrafted. Am I the only one that sees good things for Martin?

I have seen more on this guy than anyone...but I like Rex Grossman. Everyone is low on him because of the super bowl.

He finally has a full season of starting under his belt, only 26, and threw for 3200 yards and 23 TD's last season. The Bears added more offensive weapons (Olsen, Hester, Wolfe) and younger players still developing (Bradley and Davis). The only possible weapons that could've declined would be Clark and Muhammed. He also has been working on steping up in the pocket in the offseason, which should help him avoid the rush and turnovers. Combine that with the Bears are going to implement more shotgun sets to have him step up as well and the turnovers should be more limited.

To Recap:

Everyone is low on him b/c of the superbowl and his bad games last season.

Threw for 3200 yards and 23 TD's(more than the Bears QB's from the previous 2 seasons combined) last season

Added more weapons and have more younger players developing around him.

Been working on his mechanics that led to his turnovers last season.

Other players:

Tony Romo-most are low on him, but could have huge numbers in a full season

Matt Hasselbeck

Caddy Williams-Could it get any worse for him?....no.

Julius Jones-Everyone is low on him b/c of MBIII

Warrick Dunn-See JJ but with Norwood

Roy Williams-Why???? B/c everyone is so high on Calvin Johnson that he may just be flying under the radar.

Santana Moss-Full offseason with Campbell should help

Devery Henderson-Are you kidding??? This guy is the deep threat and starter in NO. Colston will bust this season and will be double teamed.
