Who are this year's studs? (1 Viewer)

These are the guys I would NEVER bench:

QB- Manning, Palmer, Brady

(Brees needs to show a revival before I put him back in this group)

RB- Tomlinson, Jackson, Gore, Addai, Alexander, Westbrook, Henry

(Parker seems to do bad against good defenses, I WOULD bench LJ vs tough defenses like CHI)

WR- Smith, Owens, Harrison, Walker, Williams, Fitzgerald, Wayne, Driver, Houshmandzedah, CJohnson, AJohnson, RMoss, Holt

(Why so many? In a start 3 WR who would you rather start? One of these guys with a tough matchup or some average WR with a decent matchup? Id go with the above guys no matter what the matchup. Only guys I might add are Evans and Colston)

TE- Gates

(I can actually see sitting all other TEs if you have a decent backup)

DEF- CHI, BAL, SD, NE

(Reason you drafted these defense's early is so you didnt have to worry about matchups. Only team I might sit them against is INDY).

I have Gates on all my teams (woo!), but if I had guys like Shockey, Heap, K2 I couldn't imagine benching them. What other tight ends are such a large part of their teams offense that I could project them to have better games than those guys?

I assume we're not considering injuries in this equation...in which case I would expect to see Holt on the WR list...

With the QB issues of BAL, NYG, and CLE Id be a little wary of starting them IF I had a decent backup TE in a tough matchup. But I agree most people are not in that situation and so a few more TEs should be included.

Yeah, I don't really consider those guys "studs," but if push came to shove just wouldn't bench them. Is there a difference? I guess its the same result.

I think it depends on the Defense as well. Given what the Bears did to LT last week and what the Ravens can do to your running game I think that the RB stud list might only have 2 names on it against those teams.

I'm wondering how effective the NE defense will be w/o Seymore/Harrison/stealing signals. I'm benching them this week vs. LT (who carves this defense up) in favor of the 9ers vs the Rams. 9er secondary and pass rush are much improved and I see sacks and turnovers in this game that will not be had vs. the Bolts. If they can be benched for the 9ers, NE is not currently and stud. Maybe when Seymore/Harrison return, I don't know.

TEs are affected by matchup less than any other position. There is no reason to bench any of those TEs unless you have two of them for some insane reason.
