Houston WRs… how will this play out? (1 Viewer)

Why would they need to accommodateDiggs? He does everything well.

In my opinion this is why he will earn the most targets on this team because he is their best WR. A bit more than just fitting in where other receivers are lacking. From what I've read the Texans have great depth at WR right now. They have guys who can fill in.

Diggs is a star.

That isn't disrupting the offense or affecting the current rapport the QB has with the other receivers.

It may help the other receivers be more effective from drawing more defensive attention away from them.

Nico Collins is also a star, is younger, and has a year of experience with Stroud building rapport. I dont know whether Diggs does better than Tank, but I'm pretty sure Nico is still the alpha in this WR group.

We just fundamentally disagree that Diggs is the current best WR on the Texans.

I do agree that Diggs will benefit the offense by drawing more defensive attention. Creates even more opportunity for Stroud to connect with his favorite receivers.

The Texans are trying to traverse the forbidden zone that is the AFC Playoffs, and climb the Berlin Wall that is the Chiefs, while Stroud is playing under his rookie deal.

...ain't gonna do that without heavier weapons and more ammo.
Mixon and Diggs are the howitzer and napalm the upstart Texans were lacking coming out of 2023.

They need more offense, they went out and got it, and as long as those 2 have legs to stand on, they are going to eat.

IMHO, of course.
