I see what you did here, very nice!Knowshown Moreno - knowmore RBBC
I agreed with you up until yesterday when Leon Washington broke his leg. I think that injury forced the Jets' hand and they will bring back Jones for the 2010 season. If Washington stayed healthy this season, the Jets would have waved goodbye to Jones and went into 2010 with Greene and Washington in their backfield.Shonn Greene - wouldn't surprise me if the Jets part ways with Thomas Jones
Jermichael Finley - I think he takes the next step, making Donald Lee an afterthought
Mohammed Massaquoi - assuming the Browns get a much more credible QB, could be a good one
Knowshown Moreno - knowmore RBBC
Kenny Britt - Gage and Washington are just fill-ins; with a good QB, Britt could shine
Knowshon Moreno. Johnny Knox, Matt Stafford, Jermichael Finley and Crabtree.Who are the guys you are trying to get on your roster who may not be stars this season, but could break out next season? The Miles Austin's, Steve Smith and Sidney Rice's of this season?Anyone you are trying to get on every one of your rosters for next season?
A lot depends on how the team (and Jones) finishes the season, but they could still part ways with Jones regardless of Leon's status. Jones and Greene have similar running styles, so if Rex decides to go with Greene, they would probably be looking for more of a speedy complement (a Leon-like type, if you will). If Leon isn't ready, Jerious Norwood is a name that comes to mind if his price tag doesn't come too high.I agreed with you up until yesterday when Leon Washington broke his leg. Turner was just entering his prime when he broke out. McGahee is just exiting his. He might have some value if he lands on a team like Green Bay or Houston, but his best football is probably in the rearview mirror. In Dynasty and deep keeper leagues, buy Willis McGahee now while his value just hit a low. Could be the next M. Turner.
Sure there is the draft, but from what I've seen this is potentially a weak RB class this year. I can't see the Jets using a high round draft pick on a RB two years in a row either.Washington is a FA at the end of this season, Sproles is as well, but I'm not sure who else might be available in free agency.Well, there is the NFL Draft and free agency.I agreed with you up until yesterday when Leon Washington broke his leg. Good point. Teams tend to stick to the Thunder and Lightning backfield pairing as opposed to the Thunder and Thunder combo Jones and Greene would be. If the Jets don't re-sign Leon, maybe Sproles ends up in NYC. Although I think Darren believes he can be the starting RB and not just the change of pace/special teams RB.A lot depends on how the team (and Jones) finishes the season, but they could still part ways with Jones regardless of Leon's status. I think he broke out this season.ETA- One name I would add is Jared Cook. Bo Scaife probably moves on after this season and Cook was outstanding in TC and a matchup nightmare for LBs and Safeties. If the Titans do something about their QB situation I can see Britt and Cook really breaking out next season. Cook's ankle injury and Kerry Collins have held him back this season. No Mike Sims-Walker?
You probably meant Coles or Henry because Housh is in Seattle now. Most significant breakout players are high draft picks who were previously held back by inexperience/opportunity. Steve Smith, Sidney Rice, and Ray Rice all fall into this category. Looking ahead to next year there are many players who could surprise. Some of the obvious candidates include:
Kevin Kolb
Mark Sanchez
Matt Stafford
Beanie Wells
Donald Brown
LeSean McCoy
Shonn Greene
Tashard Choice
Andre Caldwell
Brandon Tate
Hakeem Nicks
James Jones
Jeremy Maclin
Kenny Britt
Malcolm Kelly
Michael Crabtree
Mohamed Massaquoi
Percy Harvin
I'm most optimistic about the players I've liked all along. That includes Nicks, Crabtree, Harvin, and Greene. All of them have every week starter potential as early as next season. I'm lukewarm on Wells and Brown, but they're probably both the best RBs on their team. McCoy could be great if Westbrook is jettisoned. James Jones and Andre Caldwell could fill in nicely for Donald Driver and TJ Houshmandzadeh.
Yea, I'm aware of that. My point was that he could eventually fill the exact role that Houshmandzadeh once held for the Bengals. Right now that production has been fractured and distributed amongst Coles, Henry, and Caldwell. You probably meant Coles or Henry because Housh is in Seattle now. Most significant breakout players are high draft picks who were previously held back by inexperience/opportunity. I'll just use this list as my reference point. I hope you are right on with a lot of those players in the list as i just drafted 4 of those guys as my first 4 picks in a recent startup!Hard to define "breakout star" from "sleeper"...Heres some guys who are viewed in the top 30 or so of their position who I think could be top 10 guys next year:Flacco - They will almost assuredly get him WR help next year. I dont think 4000/25+ is out of the question.Garrard - Call me crazy here, but hes been pushing top 12 status for awhile now...if JAX can get him a legitimate threat to go with Sims-Walker, Mike Thomas and MJD, hes got the makings of a decent set of skill position players. Hes going to be motivated to produce, because another non-playoff season will get him and the coaching staff swept out the door.VJax - If LT leaves, SD might figure out a 6'5 240lb WR can score at the GL. He could end up in Fitz/AJ territory next season.Felix Jones - Obvious reasons.Hakeem Nicks - This guy is just a beast. Also fits the "sleeper" category, but I think hes capable of putting together a 1100/8 type season or more and displacing Steve Smith as the Giants #1 WR.Calvin Johnson - Obvious ReasonsFinley - Obvious ReasonsPierre Thomas - Hes going to stay healthy all season eventually. Bonus points if Bush leaves.Matt Ryan - They either need Harry Douglas to get healthy, or they need to add another downfield/slot threat, but hes a probowler next year if healthy.John Carlson - Very gifted TE who did too much blocking this year. If they have a decent QB and dont require him to chip a DE every 3rd down, hes a top 8 TE.Chris Wells - Obvious reasons. Plenty of Rbs with his passing game deficiencies have made the leap to better full-time Rbs in their 2nd seasons.
He has no kneesNo Mike Sims-Walker?
All these are obvious, can we get a out on a limb pick? lolHard to define "breakout star" from "sleeper"...Heres some guys who are viewed in the top 30 or so of their position who I think could be top 10 guys next year:Flacco - They will almost assuredly get him WR help next year. Michael Bush - Tom Cable will run him into the ground - if they let him..Raiders looked good the final few weeks of 2009.FinleyEdelmanGresham - if Patriots draft him.Eli - if Giants running game continues to struggle.Cutler - Martz + pass-happy QB = high-end productionGarcon - A. Gonzalez lost his spot, and Reggie Wayne is getting long in the tooth and will be 32 in October.whatever RB the Redskins go with, will be a big time producer. They don't have enough talent to use a full-blown RBBC like Shanny had in Denver..Who are the guys you are trying to get on your roster who may not be stars this season, but could break out next season? The Miles Austin's, Steve Smith and Sidney Rice's of this season?Anyone you are trying to get on every one of your rosters for next season?

Same here. I have kool-aid coming out of my ears. I think this kid becomes the #1 receiving threat in Chicago. After having seen him play, I'm drinking the Devin Aromashodu Kool-Aid this season.Matt RyanJonathan StewartHakeem NicksJermichael Finley
Made the Patriots virtually unbeatable.Hakeem NicksMohamed Massaquoi
I go with Laurent Robinson - 4th year WR who before getting hurt, was the #1 WR for the Rams. If they get a legit QB, could he be Miles Austin-like??? ok maybe not...delusional said:Bradon Gibson - Rams WRStar? maybe not, nice surprise? yes if they get a qb
Cutler and one of the Bears WRs will be massive fantasy factors. Not sure which one yet.Kolb will be a monster if he starts. With DeSean, Maclin, and breakout star Brent Celek he could be a 28-30 TD guy.TE Jared Cook will be a beast for the Titans. He had a high ankle sprain all season, it was a rookie washout.Steve Breaston.Julian Edelman. Welker won't be ready.Matthew Stafford (if they have a running game).kevin kolb is someone i'll consider adding at some point. mcnabb will probably be back, but every year there's talk it could be his last in philly. this year is no different.
