Who do you want your team to draft (1 Viewer)

Chiefs - assuming Allen trade gets done.1.5 - DE C. Long1.17 - CB Rogers-Cromartie2.5 - OT S. Baker
That would be an awesome haul by KC if they could pull it off. All three are instant starters IMO.
They could pick ANY three names out of the top 50 and have three instant starters. :banned:
:lmao:
Except @ RB, TE or LB you are just about right.....well, maybe FS/SS too.

I'm not so sure about RB or LB. The safeties are decent, though. But then there aren't any safeties in the top 50 players either. :)

Giants

Round 1 B. Flowers (he's being undervalued now)

Round 2 C. Lofton, or best safety available.

First 2 rounds should be about Defense for the Giants. If Flowers isn't there it has to be a safety.

Kind of a twist on the old and tired, mock draft: Who do you want you team to draft in the first two rounds? What is your dream senario? Try to make it somewhat make sense. Here's mine:Chicago Bears1. Jeff Otah The Bears need O-line help in the worst way and Otah is a great candidate to do that. I have him ranked as the number 3 OL in this draft behind Long and Clady and just ahead of Williams and Albert (yes, I think Albert is over-rated now).2. Joe FlaccoI've seen every game Flacco played for Delaware and he's the goods. Had he played for a D-1 school, he would be a top 10 pick IMO. I have Flacco rated as the number 3 QB behind Ryan and Brohm and just ahead of Henne (although it wouldn't break my heart if they got Henne instead). I just can't take the QB merry-go-round anymore.....Philadelphia Eagles1. Chris WilliamsTough call here, but I think this would be the way Reid would go if Williams fell. I honestly believe that they will trade up, and use Lito to do it, so that could get them maybe as high as Buffalo's pick at 11. Now if Leodis McKelvin is there, all bets are off. That would kill two birds with one stone and net them the CB depth and return guy they covet. Can't see him falling far enough for the Eagles to make a serious stab at him though.2. Malcolm KellyLaugh all you want, but Kelly has been in a free fall since the end of the season. Seriously, had he just gone into hiding up until now and only showed up to interviews, he would be better off. I doubt he drops this far though, so realistically, we're probably looking at Early Doucet or a Safety like Reggie Smith.
 Long-time Bears fan here.In a discussion w/ a buddy of mine Friday night, Otah and Flacco were the 2 names I threw down as players I would like to see the Bears take in rounds 1&2. I did, however, say Albert or Chris Williams would be a satisfactory substitute for Otah if he is gone before #14.Round 3: Chilo Rachal, G, USC and either Ray Rice, RB, Rutgers or Tom Zbikowski, S, Notre Dame (and I HATE Notre Dame but Mike Brown's injury track record makes it absurd for the Bears to count on him for even a quarter of the season, let alone the whole season)Round 4: DeMario Pressley, DT, NC State (if Trevor Laws, DT, Notre Dame is still available, take him. That's doubtful that he'll still be there, however.) or Jordy Nelson, WR, Kansas State (probably already chosen)/William Franklin, WR, MissouriRound 5: Take a DT/WR (whichever they don't pick in the 4th round) Round 6: Jeremy Leman, ILB, IllinoisRound 7: Best available CB/RB/special teams player w/ loss of Ayanbadejo

Seattle

1.25 Best DT, OT, or G on the board. I would be fine with DT Balmer or G Albert.

2.25 Best TE on the board (this appears to be a deep draft at TE).

Dream scenario for Dallas

#22 Jonathon Stewart or Rashard Mendenhall

#28 Antoine Cason or Aquib Talib

#61 Tyrell Johnson or Dajuan Morgan

Why would the dream scenario be another RB in the 1st? Last time I checked, Marion Barber was among the elite young backs in the NFC

Vikings Jared Allen for picks 1 and 3 and a 2nd next year. If trade goes through:

2 Carl Nicks RT Nebraska- Cook is going to move inside once Birk moves on and needs competition for the RT job this year.

3 Red Bryant-DT Texas AM The Vikes need a backup DT who can speel the Williams' and take over for Pat in 2-3 seasons

If trade doesn't go through

1 Jeff Otah-RT Pitt -good run blocker who is an immediate starter

2 Lawrence Jackson-DE USC -the Vikes need a DE in a bad way

3 Red Bryant-DT Texas AM =see above

3 Brad Cottam-TE Tennesse -Kleinsasser is getting old and Shiancoe wasn't very good. Time to restock.

4Highest rated S on the board

Denver my wife's team, and my adopted one:

1 Ryan Clady OT Boise State -Broncos will consider K Balmer. They need a DT that badly. But OL is the 3rd biggest need (the Bronco's need 2 DTs) followed by OLB, S, WR,etc. etc. Would be happy with Clady, Ottah, or Williams

2 Pat Sims DT Auburn -he or whatever DT they pick will start from day one.

Patriots:

Since I don't think Gholston will make it to #7, I think it will be Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. I know some will say it is a reach this early, but if the Patriots can not trade down some, they will just take the player they want.

The second round pick will be the best player available at LB or S.

Green Bay Packers:

1st round (30): Take the slider in the first round. I think one of the following will be available; Matt Ryan, Rashard Mendenhall, Chris Williams, Ryan Clady, Dominique Rodger-Cromartie, or Jonathan Stewart. Take the slider. If not, I'd be fine with Cason or Flowers.

2. 2nd round (56): Shore up the defensive backfield with the addition of a guy like Antwan Molden.

3. 2nd round (60): Shore up the defensive line a bit with a tackle or end.
Flowers should be gone too. I see Ted trading down if none of those sliders are there. Cason may be there.I would like OL and CB. Whoever is a value pick.
I like the idea of a slider....but Cason would be a great fit in GB.
There really aren't any specific guys I'm hoping for, so I'm definitely on board with someone who is sliding/falling. I'd be all for a trade down, or even a future 1st with a team looking to jump up for a QB. What I don't want to see is a TE on day 1. I think there will be a few good ones available in the 3rd or later.

CB and OT would be nice. I won't question a 2nd or 3rd round WR since TT has nailed them down quite well. I like our group of RBs, but I'd be happy to add a game breaker with speed that could also be used in the return game. I could also live with one of the top QBs if they start falling.

I want Dallas to trade the 22 and 61 to move up to the 11-16 range and take one of DRC/Jenkins/McKelvin.

I want Dallas to trade the 28 for a mid second and mid third. Hopefully someone will want a QB

At ~45 take Earl Bennett. At ~75 take Choice or Forte. At 93 take Red Bryant.

Marion Barber is nice but hasnt carried the load full time since high school. Why mess up a good thing? Marion found his niche coming in late in the game and running over tired defenses. Getting a guy like Stewart or Medenhall gives the Cowboys another threat for their offense, gives them more leverage in contract negotiations with Marion Barber, and for a team with superbowl aspirations depth cannot be underestimated.

OAKLAND RAIDERS1. Dorsey/C. LongAdding another piece to the defensive front line would help to make the already looking good Raider's defense look even better.
I honestly think that the Raiders D is very close to being a dominanting D. They have so much talent and a great Coordinator. Now offense is a different story b/c I don't think Russell is very good at all.
That's were we disagree, now I'm not saying JaMarcus is going to be the best QB of all time, however I think he can be very good.

I tend to agree here, in that they don't have to go Rb in the first. There are guy's in the 2nd or 3rd round who can fill the role of backup to MB3.Am I a little nervous that MB3 didn't even start till the playoffs? Yes, I am somewhat so maybe I'd invest my 2nd round pick at RB if indeed someobody was there you liked at RB. I just don't see Mendenhall being around for the Dallas pick, so you might as well say McFadden in terms of dream picks for 1st round.Dallas needs DEFENSE The Dallas offense was in the top 3 in the league last year and there's no reason they shouldn't be again this year. Defense, Defense Defense and keep an eye out for an O-lineman who may slip, as depth in that area is underrated.

I'd love for the Bucs to trade for Jared Allen, or a top WR, but if neither happens, here are 3 different drafts I'd be very happy with:

A: 1. Brian Brohm 2. Donnie Avery

B: 1. DeSean Jackson/James Hardy 2. Tracy Porter

C: 1. Antoine Cason/Michael Jenkins 2. Donnie Avery

I don't quite agree with the Raiders. Unless they trade 1.4, they have zero bargining chips to play with. I'm not saying Al won't trade that pick, but I would bet against it happening.

Buffalo and SD are actually who I can see the Eagles dancing with if they trade up in either the 1st or 2nd.
Fabian Washington became expendable when Hall came aboard. Asomugha, Hall, Washington, Routt. #3 CB, former 1st round pick, played pretty well and is blazing fast. That and the 1.04 could net them some added value, but I don't see it happening. Al will probably take Gholston and the run defense will still suck, and the offense will still be average so a pass rusher won't do them any good. But hey, Al will have his freak.

KC Chiefs

(No Allen trade) 1.5- Ryan Clady or Jeff Otah. O-Tackles with short last names are money. Think about players like Roaf, Pace, J. Brown, Ogden, W. Jones, Adams. Jake Long will be gone by five and I want Herm and King Carl to take Clady if QB is in their plans in R2 and Otah if they want to return to the running game in a big way.

With 2.5 I would love to see Calais Campbell fall to this pick especially if/when Jared Allen doesn't sign a long term contract. Calais has great size to play LDE in the pros and would be great for the defense even in rotation with Hali and Allen.

(With Allen trade) 1.5- Chris Long or V. Gholston. 1.17 - Whatever is left between OLs like Williams or Albert or Cherilus. 2.5- Another OL like Collins from KU or Nicks from Nebraska.

:banned: Maybe because he hasn't even signed a contract and appears to be on the way towards a one year deal and free agency next season. They have no other RB on the entire roster. I think it's quite easy to see why Dallas would want an early round RB this year.

My Eagles wants. WIN NOW!

Use Lito and other picks to get back into 2nd round and somehow end up with 3 of the following:

CB - either Jenkins, DRC or McKelvin

WR - either Thomas, Jackson or Sweed

RB Chris Johnson

Thank you.

Dolphins

At 1st overall I want Jake Long.

In the 2nd I want James Hardy if he falls. Brian Brohm is my prefernce if Hardy is gone, but it's doubtful Tuna goes with the smaller Brohm, as Flacco or Henne fit the profile of what he likes in a QB better.

I would just like the Bears to emerge from the draft with some concrete reason for me to look forward to 2008. I know we're not going to the playoffs and I know we will likely finish at the bottom of the division.1. Otah/Williams/Albert: I have no idea who will end up being better but we have to take one of the three. Chances are the choice will be made for us by the time we pick.2. Flacco: All I've seen are the youtube videos but he looks to be as good a bet as any of the QBs on the board. I don't know why he didn't play D-1, but I bet if he had he'd be a guarunteed 1st day pick. (ETA: If for some reason Mendenhall or Stewart is here we should take them and attempt to either trade back into the second for a QB, or hope for Woodson in the third)3. Earl Bennett: I just don't think that any of the RBs that will be there in the third represent much of an upgrade. There's Forte (big, slow, straight-ahead) who sounds like a carbon copy of Benson, and then Jamaal Charles (smaller, shiftier, not an inside runner, goes down easy) who sounds a lot like Wolfe. As much as we need RBs we need WRs just as bad. I don't buy that HEster is going to be a consistent reciever, and beyond him the cupboard is totally bare. Bennett is an underrated talent and has good field speed. He's a precise route-runner who can catch anywhere on the field. 3b. Best available OL, if nothing there, best available DT, if nothing there, best available RB.
If I'm the Bears, I wouldn't waste a pick drafting a QB. Do you have any faith in them developing one? Me either. I would be very happy if they could get two OL on the first day, and a WR.
