Who else is 0-5? (1 Viewer)

I came out of my draft feeling pretty good about my team. I picked 7th in a 10-team league, 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 K, 1 DEF start. The scoring is pretty standard.

Here was my opening roster (shown in order in which they were drafted):

QB: T. Brady, A. Brooks

RB: R. Brown, C. Portis, R. Droughns, L. Maroney, M. Smith

WR: T. Holt, E. Kennison, Michael Clayton, A. Bryant, B. Edwards, Mark Clayton, C. Cooley, T. Taylor

K: S. Graham, M. Vanderjagt

DEF: Colts, Giants

Since the start of the season, I've released M. Smith, , A. Brooks, C. Cooley, Giants DEF, and picked up J. Cotchery, C. Pennington, C. Frye, and Bills DEF.

I'll admit that I totally screwed up on Kennison and both Claytons, plus I get essentially no points from my defense. What makes the whole thing incredibly annoying is that most weeks my team has been favored according to the worthless CBS Sportsline. Plus, I actually have more pts. than several teams who are at least 2-3.

Anyway, I'm just curious who else out there might be 0-5, and what you thoughts are about what went so horribly wrong.

WRs: RWilliams, Branch, Edwards, ABryant

TEs: DClark, JStevens

had some BAD matchups...put up the 2nd highest total week 2, and lost to the highest total.

WR1 T. Owens

Dropping Jennings wouldn't have anything to do with this... would it?

About to shoot myself over it too :wall:

Here's my all-star dynasty team (thought it would be good this year too)

QB: Palmer (Mcnair)

RB: Dunn, Bush, Jamal Lewis (Norwood, Maurice Morris, Ron Dayne)

WR: Fitz, Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne (Ike Bruce, Moulds, Chris Henry, Furrey, Randle El)

TE: Watson (Cooley)

K: Vanderjagt

DEF: Cowboys

Horrible, horrible luck-o-the schedule

W: Amani Toomer, Travis Taylor, Ernest Wilford, Samie Parker, Michael Clayton, Joe Jurevicus, Ben Watson

K: David Akers

Team 2 0-5...12 teamer

Q: Daunte Culpepper, Byron Leftwich, Mark Brunell

Though am a combined 38-22 in my other leagues so hope isn't lost yet.

Team looks good for a 12 teamer, still not 0-5 for a 10-team league.

I always suggest to teams that are oh-fer to trade away depth for starters. a bit tough to do with six teams off week 6 and 7, but you can do it. Package two for one deals to get guys like Rudi Johnson, Eli, Chad J, TO/Glenn, DJax - guys that have had their byes. Hope for the best...and no injuries.

14 leagues? How is FF fun in so many?

I'm 1-4. I should be 0-5 but I won a game by less than a point in week one. I've allowed 10% more points than anyone else in the league...that's a huge margin.

QB: Brees, Smith, Brooks

RB: Tomlinson, Dunn (Norwood, Turner, Herron)

WR: DJackson, Owens, Furrey, Gabriel, Engram, Heap, Battle, S. Parker

K: Akers

D: Steelers

Week 1: 91-90.1 (W)

Week 2: 102.4-132.5 (L)

Week 3: 75.8-82.5 (L)

Week 4: 62.2-108.9 (L)

Week 5: 51.4-87.6 (L)

I am but I won't admit it
Thanks for all of the responses, fellas. Like some of you, I am also leading the league in points given up. Fantasy football can be pretty damned cold. Here's some other reasons for my troubles (and no, I'm not "Blaming the Shirt")T.Brady (losing Branch has really hurt - I honestly thought he'd return to NE)R. Brown (I thought Miami was going to be a strong team this year)R. Droughns (His injury hasn't helped)E. Kennison (Trent Green getting hurt hurt Kennison)Michael Clayton (my completely errant stab at a sleeper - he's been horrible, and hasn't benefited from Simms' injury)My defenses are horrible, plus I seem to be getting destroyed by multiple-TD games from my opponents' "D" every week.Oh, well - there's still time to come back! :) ... :bag:

I'm 0-5 and staring down 0-6 with half my team on bye this week. 12 team league, start 2 qb 3 wr 3 rb.

Started with

QB - Big Ben, Brad Johnson, Leftwich.

RB - Alexander, Bush, Kevin Jones.

WR - CJ, DJax, Branch, Michael Clayton.

Now

QB - Leftwich, Hassleback, Leinhart

RB - Alexander, Mcgahee, Jones Drew, Addai.

WR - CJ, Antonio Bryant, Doug Gabriel, Mark Clayton.

Have rotated TES all year. Davis, Pope, the rookie in Jax, Franks.

1-4... sure it's not 0-5 but with this team it makes me sick (dynasty)

Brees

Brunell

Pennington

Tomlinson

Parker

Maroney

Foster

Morency

Turner

Holt

Owens

Muhammad

Toomer

M. Jones

Gonzalez

V. Davis

:ptts:

Yup, 0 - 5. Lessons learned:

WRs need a good QB (modest starts for Fitz and Gates).

RBs need a good line (Alexander and R Brown).

and it would help to avoid injuries (Alexander; Fitz; Stallworth; M Jones; even C Houston).

Maybe misery really does love company, but this does make me feel a little better about my 0-5 start - I think. All I know is that I've never lost 5 fantasy football games in a row before in 8 years of playing the game - it is painful! Good luck to all of you guys!

12 Team Redraft. WR and TE get +1 per reception.

QB Trent Green, Chris Simms, Brett Favre (wavier), Vince Young(waiver)

RB D. Rhodes, J. Addai, C. Dillon, L. Maroney, Chris Brown, J. Norwood

WR Chad Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald (but I'm holding him), Marques Colston (waiver), Engram, Chris Henry

TE Ben Watson

K Kicker of the week

DST Chargers

I really needed one of those RBBC to go to one guy earlier in the season. My whole team is on a bye this week. Make it 0-6. :bag:

Carson Palmer

Brett Favre

L Jordan

R Johnson

W Dunn

A Green

J Addai

J Lewis

Dropping, yes dropping J Lewis outright this week for Leon "From a small town called mind your ####### business" Washington.

I've offered trades to no avail. I am waving the white flag.

Ouch! Green, Simms, and now Fitzgerald? Plus, like me, you're praying that Maroney finally grabs the NE RB gig for good... (well, or Dillon...)
