Who else is aboard the Logan Paulsen bandwagon? (1 Viewer)

I picked him up in two leagues this week and am going with him as my starter in both. I have hopes that he can be a solid TE the rest of the way. The last two weeks, he's had:

4-76-0

4-32-0

With six targets both weeks. Considering how much Shanahan loves throwing to tight ends, Paulsen could be a guy who emerges and helps fantasy teams down the stretch.

How deep a league is the Paulson bandwagon for? 16 teamers?
He's scored the 7th most TE points in the last two weeks (since becoming the starter) in PPR leagues. Plus, the starting TE in a Mike Shanahan offense is almost always productive.

Responding to the bolded below, the problem is RG3 is the QB and not Shanahan. It seems RG3 really doesn't like throwing to the TE much. Davis wasn't getting a lot of looks before he got hurt, I just don't see his replacement getting much either.

Again though, he's had 6 targets both of the last two weeks. Only the very top tier TE average more than 6-7 targets a week, so I think he's worth a shot. I am not saying he will be a stud, just that he could be a solid, productive producer down the stretch.

Like the guy... been using him the past two weeks in several leagues. Wanted to find a way to grab him in my dynasty too, but I think he's more for redraft purposes, despite being fairly young.

What's not showing in the box score from last week is that RGIII missed Paulsen on a wide-open 30+ yard reception, so his totals could have very easily been 5 for 60+ yards.

None of the other receivers in Washington can catch the ball consistently, which may force RGIII to go back to the well with a guy who can. And he's known for his blocking prowess, so Shanny isn't taking him off the field.

I'm on board for the rest of this year... considering the mess at TE, why not? :banned:

Wasn't there also a play where Paulsen was wide open in the end zone and RG3 over threw him? Hm..This is a tough choice for me between Allen/Paulsen. Similar match ups, possible targets, RZ looks and etc.

Huge fan of the guy. He's tough as nails, he drags defenders for a few extra yards on nearly every catch; he even has some nice built up speed for his size, although he's far from quick. Besides that, he's also a phenomenal blocker, so he's likely to continue to be on the field for nearly every play (he played 95% of the offensive snaps last week). I'd definitely be buying in redrafts and dynasties alike.

I am. Started him last week. Fun player to watch.

Griffin missed him just barely on a TD opp or else I think he would be a WW darling this week.

But I just traded him for Keller in one league.

Not a lot of TD passes and hard to see where they are going between LP, Moss and Hank and Morgan, and as mentioned Davis wasn't getting all that anyway and LP's numbers seem right in line with his so far. But in this age of everyone in FF grabbing all the TEs there are, and if you missed on Rudolph and Miller and Bennett and others, this is a very nice midseason pickup.

Thanks for the heads up on this guy. Just picked him up in my Dynasty league where I'm scraping by with Celek and Zach Miller, I'd given up on the position so here's hoping

Don't get me wrong, this is not production to be thumping my chest over, and I won't, but when you consider that TEs like Pitta, Finley, Rudolph, Cook, Celek and Vernon Davis are all majorly disappointing these days, I'll take 10.9 out of my TE in PPR.

I have to watch the game again, but he could've had a huge day had Griffin been more apt to pass instead of run. Paulsen is finding seams, has very good hands and can stretch the field well. He was open quite a bit and RG ignored him much of the day.

Well, he had a nice little stretch, but the last two weeks combined, he has 3-28-1 on only four targets. And with Garcon back, and Santana Moss suddenly a weapon again, his chances are probably severely limited. Oh well, he was solid the few weeks I actually had to start him.
