Who else is high on Bo Scaife? (1 Viewer)

Have not yet drafted but I am eyeing Bo Scaife......

If you've drafted him, what was it that had drawn you to him and where did you target him and where did you get him.

Specifically in a 12 team PPR league.

Thanks!

I got him in pretty much every redraft league I'm in this year (6). They line him up all over the place and he is just like a WR on their team. He has a good relationship with the QB and that is crucial. He'll be out wide, in the backfield or in tight. I got him late in all the drafts, the earliest I took him was late in the 11th round, and only because FBG is moving him up their charts, so I figured someone might jump on him. Mine our PPR leagues, I think that is the type league he has the most value in.

agreed...??
I'm not sure I've ever seen Scaife line up in the backfield (that will be Hall's job or the tailback's calling), and he's not "just like a WR" on their team. He's a tight end that does a good job in the 8-12 yard range. He may split a little from time to time, but he's not going in motion to the far side to run a depp post any time soon.

So ... what's up with Troupe then? I keep hearing good things about Scaife, but is there a clear #1 TE in Tenn? My draft dominator says Troupe is still #1 on the depth chart ...

I think the TEs will combine for about 65-75 receptions, which will be more then the top WR. Troupe's health will determine whether he ends up with 25 receptions or 45....

So they're pretty much considered to go 50/50 in production, but that is dependent on Troupe's health? For some reason I was under the impression that Scaife was expected to get 60-70% of the TE production.

I like Scaife a lot this year. Vince really seems to trust him from his days at UT and I expect to see him get 3-4 receptions a game although they may not necessarily be for much yardage. I think both he and Owen Daniels are going to end up being late round TE steals.

I don't think there is any way to know how it's going to break down. I expect Troupe to have better YPR, but other then that it's anyone's guess. I DO think both will be on the field plenty, oftentimes together, as the Titans need their best sets of hands out there instead of 2 or 3 rookies running around trying to make something happen.

according to Espn and Sportsline, Troupe is on the trading block, and Scaife has nailed the starting TE gig.

Just dropped Boston for Scaife. In the past couple days I've added him and Owen Daniels, and dropped Boston/Scheffler.

I hope I did the right thing.

I really think Scaife is the number one now, although no one wants to ack because Troupe was such a high draft pick, and because I think they are trying to trade Troupe. I would not be shocked to see Scaife put up Wycheck-like numbers this year.

I was agreeing with "you" I do like Scaife though as a value TE this year. If anything, Troupe could be described as more "Wr-like" than Scaife.

:confused:At least. Scaife is the Titans receiver to own, hands down.

Saw something around Troupe not even making it out for the third exhibition.

VY getting pulled down, and Scaife coming back to save him via a pitch.

VY and Scaife old teammates... years how each other thinks.... VY still in that college style. They are on the same page, me thinks.

Eventually VY will have to throw via QB Spy and DE Contain defenses....and if he's not as good a deep passer as some assume. Look out.

(disclosure: didn't target Scaife this year, in lieu of Watson... both will be top 10, my hope is Watson is Top 5, Scaife should be Top 10)
