Who got stuck with Carney? (1 Viewer)

One of my biggest games I got stuck with him. The Commish closes the WW on Thursday and there was no sign of a benching. I thought about adding Hartley but went with a RB flier for the stretch drive. So far I would have lost anyway ... despite a top 4 points score for the week.
i have one main league for $$ and the rest are free online laegues - about 5. i forgot i had carney in one.

Sat Lindell for Carney and our FA period has passed. Lindell played Thursday night so I got stuck with the goosegg. That's okay, the rest of my team didn't do squat.

Just posted this in the heartbreak thread. Had Carney as my kicker and had to work from 9am-3pm Sunday and had no clue the Saints decided to have Hartley kick for them. His 15 points would have been great because I lost by 14.2 points. Started 0-5 and battled back to have a shot as the playoffs. All I had to do was win this week. Thanks New Orleans.

That happened to me, too, although my game wasn't that important. Normally it's Sunday gametime through Wed. 9pm for the blind bidding period, and then first come/first served. Because of Thurday game, it gets moved up and I couldn't make the change. Still managed to win by 1 point. Would have been the 5 seed either way, though. Speaking of that, I'd better go put in my bid for Hartley or whatever his name is.

Ok guys... Not trying to flame here... But seriously ^^^ If your counting on a kicker to win your league for you ? (lol - one that is Older than Farve) Then you have already lost.

I called the guy who was playing the guy that I needed to lose to make the playoffs at 12:30 to tell him that Carney was inactive. This way he could start Reed.

who said they were counting on him? taking a zerio and losing by 10 points or less a kicker would have helped you out. fantasy games can be close you know.DocHoliday said:Ok guys... Hartley scored 14-16 in most scoring systems this weekend. If you took 0 by only having Carney that's a big hit. I lost by 20 ... bad team had Fred Davis and Sproles rise up and smite me ... so I would have lost by 5 instead of 10. Had Maurice Jones Bust pushed across a TD I would have won with Hartley. IMO kickers aren't a great feature of fantasy football but it is what it is ... a good PK/DT outburst can outscore your best RB pair some weeks.DocHoliday said:Ok guys... Not trying to flame here... What doesn't matter 9 times out of ten is Kicker A vs. Kicker B. When it's Kicker A vs. a goosegg that's an issue.DocHoliday said:Ok guys... Not trying to flame here... I can't say I lost JUST because of the goose egg from Carney though. The crapola production from Adrian Peterson did me in too.

Got stuck with him but luckily still won 100-97. Have a waiver claim in for Hartley for next week.
Top scorer team in the league, and the team I was tied with for first place, had to go with Carney.
I'm second high scorer. As soon as I found out early Sunday morning, I picked up Hartley off the WW.
He still won (by 3 points).
I still lost (by about 17. I still started Stevie G over him, plus the production from ADP, Grant and MSW didn't help).
But we're still the top two seeds in our league with first round byes. In two weeks, I have a choice between two kickers with great offenses. He has a choice between the slugs on the WW.

LOL. just looked at my opponent's roster for the one league i have carney in. semfinal matchup and he has jason elam.so we'll both take 0 from our K. LOL.
