If not on their remaining schedule, assume they could meet in the playoffs or SB.

I went with the Giants, mainly because I know that GB will play them in the regular season and the game is at New York.

So, there was another thread like this, I asked this question and didn't really get a response. I am not trying to sound like a raving GB homer here. But the Packers and Giants played week 16 of last season and the Packers scored 45 and rolled up 500 yards of offense. I'm really curious about how people specifically see this game playing out differently from that one.I know division rivals split games in the same season all the time, and I'm not at all saying that the Giants don't have a chance - of course they do. For example nobody gave the Jets a chance in the playoffs vs the Pats last year after the Pats destroyed them in the regular season. I'm just trying to understand why so many people think they have a great chance, even the best chance of beating the Packers this year among all teams, given what took place last time these teams met.

Were the Giants down some starters that game? Do they have some significant personel upgrades over last year? Just assuming it was a "down" game for the defense and they will play better? Because on offense the Packers played that game without Finley, Starks, or Grant. The Packers are somewhat off on defense this year but their strength remains the key thing that got the Giants into trouble - interceptions.

ETA: (By the way I voted for the Saints)

I've been saying all year that Detroit has the best chance and probably will beat the Packers.

The way to stop ARod is to keep him in the pocket and get major pressure on him. With Suh and Fairley Detroit can and will do that. Especially with the way GBs OL has been playing.

I don't know if the Giants were down a few players or not. Also don't care about what happened last season. My vote for the Giants was merely because I expect the Packers to have at least one bad game and on the road against the Giants seemed like a possibility.

Giants and Detroit are teams that could give them fits because of the ability to rush only 4 and still get to Rodgers.

Detroit on Thanksgiving will be a challenge.

McCarthy is very routine oriented type of coach. Likes his practice routine and so on.

Thanksgiving will be their 3rd game in 11 days...throwing off all routines going from Monday to Sunday to a Thursday game. Add in Detroit beating them in Det last year...playing them tough recently...being a much improved team and having a defense that can play GB tough. It sets up for that being a very possible loss.

That early Colston fumble killed the Saints and opened up a 14-0 hole. Aside from that, it was an even match-up. Really hope we get to see it again.

Too much being made of this. There's no real shot at undefeated here. This team has no running game and a mediocre D. The world's greatest O is a nice thing, and will win you a lot of games, but all you need is one off day from Rodgers, or one D playing out of its mind, or one day of bad weather forcing a ground and pound battle...or, or, or. And all those things get more an more likely as winter comes, and as games get to higher and higher stakes.

I don't think there's any team in the NFL that wins 2 out of 3 against this team. But I think just about every team up on the list has a chance against this team. They're great, but flawed. They're the SB favorite, but I have trouble imagining better than 14-2, here.

which team has the best safety tandem? corners are going need help. rodgers' delivery is pretty damn fast and the sacks he seems to take are as much about him extending the play as anything. you can force the packers to grind it out maybe. put him in a scenario which he isn't as effective. he wants to air it out but if you make him throw short passes and rely on the running game maybe. SF, certainly, could do it but i think Baltimore, Pittsburgh too. Giants maybe but also Houston.

The Packers have opted not to try to run the ball much because they are killing other teams with the pass. Saying they have no running game is not an accurate statement. Starks was pretty damn effective last postseason when they needed him to run the ball. He also stomped out the Vikings bid for a comeback week 7 with some impressive running late in the 4th quarter, putting the game away. The 4.6 yards per carry aren't too shabby either. The defense remains more of a question though. We'll see if they build off of last weeks impressive performance.

I should delete my vote.

I originally picked the Saints but I had a vision last night that the Packers go undefeated into the Super Bowl and face none other than the divine powers of Tim Tebow's Broncos.

So I change my selection from NO to... not DEN... but TEBOW.

Rodgers said in an interview that New Orleans is their biggest threat.Boom.
Makes sense. The Saints are in fact the team that has come closest, by one lousey yard actually.
Well...1 yard away from needing a 2 point conversion to tie.
Would have been enough. New Orleans was shutting Green Bay down in the second half. Overtime would have been all she wrote for them. Also they played that game without starting DE Will Smith. That said, I dont think New Orleans is built for the cold weather and the rematch would likely be at Green Bay given the two team's present records.

The point was they were not one yard away from winning. They would have still needed to get the 2 point and hope they could still shut them down in OT if GB wins the toss.Saying it just happens is hilarious in that scenario.Reminds me of the Titans/Rams Super Bowl when people claim the Titans were a yard away from winning.

Giants ... Recent history of beating undefeated bully.

You need a pass rush like the giants to bunch rogers in his smug face.

Would luv to see this outcome and it's easy to envision

It is?A. Denver is not making the Super Bowl.B. The Packers would lay the everloving smacketh down on that team....Rodgers already lit them up once...he will do it again.

Unlikely that Denver even makes the playoffs...

I don't think anyone is going to beat GB in a shootout.

It's not an awesome offense that's going to beat them, it's a great defense.

SF, PIT, BAL or maybe HOU.

I think the NYG at home might have a chance due to their D-line.
