Marshall is getting 10+ catches a week since Javon's return and the Broncos want to reduce Walker's contract....That's how teams treat their #1 WR, right?
But Cut and BMarsh have been working together last year on the second team before Cut got the start. They built a nice relationship during that time and Cut is showing that trust now. Now next year will be their 3rd years in the league (right?) and we all know bout 3rd year WR's.... :knocksonwood:
Looks like its Walker. Marshall is getting 10+ catches a week since Javon's return and the Broncos want to reduce Walker's contract....That's how teams treat their #1 WR, right?
That's how teams treat *ANYONE* coming off of a major injury, regardless of who it is. Denver reworked Terrell Davis's contract after he got injured, despite the fact that his backup was posting some very impressive stats (a la Marshall). Terrell Freaking Davis. Doesn't mean he wasn't still the RB1 when healthy afterwards (even if he perhaps shouldn't have been).
Walker is just too inconsistent to be counted on as a #1.
Marshall's blocking ability makes him the #1 on offense. He's reeling in passes, making plays for the offense, helping in the running game, showing incredible toughness, etc., etc.
How anyone can't think that Javon is the #1 at this point is crazy. Javon is a good, sometimes great WR but Marshall is getting better every week.
