I think Isaiah is overrated, but he's at least top 50. Don't think he is top 35, but somewhere around #40 seems right.

i love basketball because i think it is the most purely athletic sport there is where when it is played at a high level it is five individuals acting together as if one person its pure its graceful and its powerful what the thomas piston teams did was a ruination of a great game and basically pure tough guy crap i hated it and i hated how it negatively changed the game from art to brawling and i just dont think he would have been that good on a team that wasnt a bunch of hackers and cheap shot artists i will never put him above guys like magic stockton paul nash robertson kidd curry cousy frazier payton parker achibald wilkins bing lillard irving i start thinking about him at the derrick rose level but thats just me heck i dont know if i would even put him ahead of kevin johnson and he was also a crap human allegedly when he was with the knicks front office so i guess take it for whatever its worth but i think he is one of the singuarly most overrated players of all time take that to the bank bromigos

A hypothetical I came up with: Replay the 1990 NBA finals, but swap the point guards. Isiah Thomas goes to the Blazers, Terry Porter to the Pistons.

Who wins? If it's the Blazers, is Isiah seen as the best player on the team, or is Clyde Drexler? How does that change their legacies?

If it's the Pistons, is Porter viewed differently as the star of a title winner? Or is that Joe Dumars?

My point is that "best player on a championship team" is often a product of circumstance and can affect our views on a player too much. Or maybe I just like weird hypotheticals and think Terry Porter was underrated.
