I don't see how Brady even belongs in this discussion anymore.
He doesn't. He hasn't belonged in the discussion for well over a month. I'm not even sure that Brady is the 2nd best current qb in football anymore.

Big Ben?Brees (his INTs again this year though are killing me)?Could make a case for Eli if just talking current...at least to call him top 5.

Haven't read a single post in this thread to this point. The answer is Rodgers, and it's not remotely close.

He's playing better than ANYONE has ever played the position right now.

On second thought, I think Brady is # 2 but it's probably fairly close between him and Brees. My top 5 right now would be:1. Rodgers2. Brady3. Brees4. Ben5. EliStafford is definitely in the conversation as well and could maybe even replace Ben or Eli.

It has to be Rodgers. Rodgers can make all the throws, extend plays with his feet, and avoids turnovers with precision passes. Aaron is making an art form out of the back-shoulder pass. His ability to make accurate throws on the run is unlike any QB that I have ever seen. He reads defenses as well as Peyton Manning and delivers the ball so accurately that only the receiver can catch it. Of the three interceptions he has this season, two of them were tipped balls.

I've been reluctant to say Rodgers.

Mostly because I think right now means more than just week to week. Clearly Rodgers has been the best QB in football this year, but I don't like to jump the gun.

Partly because I'm a Pack fan and I TRY to fight the homerism in me and be objective. There is nothing worse than arguing with a blind homer. So I try to look at the big picture without my Green and Gold glasses on.

But Aaron Rodgers is making it look easy right now. He's the best QB in football. He can 'and does' do it all on a regular basis. Hell of a player
