Bugs Bunny really shouldn't be on the list. That's a movie character.
LOL WHAT??? You've got to be :fishing:
Tim has said some seriously wacky stuff before. But this. . . just takes the cake.
90% of Bugs on TV originally appeared on the big screen- all of the Looney Tunes cartoons. Virtually the only thing that was made for TV was the introduction to the shows, like the Bugs Bunny Roadrunner show. All of the actual content is straight from the movie theater. I thought everybody knew this.

Not seeing how this makes him the "Greatest TV Character of All Time". Sounds like you are campaigning that he should be the greatest movie character of all time.

EDIT: Ah! My bad, that's your point! I didn't read it correctly. Sorry.

I understand now. I agree with you two.

99% of us saw these cartoons on TV rather than in a Movie Theatre. Whether they were first in the Movie Theatre or not is fairly irrelevent. We saw them on TV.

TV is where I saw The Wizard of Oz, so Toto is my favorite TV character.

I never saw an Rocky flicks in the theater. So Rocky is my favorite TV character.

I think this should be set up tourney style with smaller brackets. I looked at the first grouping with Al Bundy, Ron Swanson, Omar Little and Walter White and was out. I refuse to choose!

Group 1 according to form with Al vs. Walt. Went with Walt myself.

Group 2 Archie in a runaway, but for me, it was down to JR Ewing v. Ignatowski. Archie really hurt with later seasons taking any real punch from him and JR should be down for the same reason, but when your name is is the title of the second highest rated TV event of all time, I'll forgive the rest.

Group 3 is a murders' row of candidates. There were at least four guys ahead of anyone in group 2 though I went with Tyrion. My kind of genre.

Group 4 looks kinda weak, but went with Kirk (though I would have preferred Spock). I monkeyed with the rabbit ears every day for at least five years of my childhood at 5 PM to see the re-runs of Star Trek. Plus, the character has probably been the most successful at the next level of all the listed.

Bugs Bunny is the Ralph Nader of this poll.

His bogus nomination is siphoning the pro-cartoon vote away from Homer and helping Costanza steal the election.

I'm really confused how Picard made it into this pole and Spock didn't. I could make an argument for Spock over Kirk, fer chrissakes.
