If you are going by genre and era, I'd put Sheldon Cooper up for 2000s Comedy.

I see a lot of the same physical comedy in Sheldon and Barney Fife. Both of them can just slay you with looks on their faces.

I think this should be set up tourney style with smaller brackets. I looked at the first grouping with Al Bundy, Ron Swanson, Omar Little and Walter White and was out. I refuse to choose!

Captain Kirk wants to know why he is not rolling over group 4.

Group 1 according to form with Al vs. Walt. Went with Walt myself.

Group 2 Archie in a runaway, but for me, it was down to JR Ewing v. Ignatowski. Archie really hurt with later seasons taking any real punch from him and JR should be down for the same reason, but when your name is is the title of the second highest rated TV event of all time, I'll forgive the rest.

Group 3 is a murders' row of candidates. There were at least four guys ahead of anyone in group 2 though I went with Tyrion. My kind of genre.

Group 4 looks kinda weak, but went with Kirk (though I would have preferred Spock). I monkeyed with the rabbit ears every day for at least five years of my childhood at 5 PM to see the re-runs of Star Trek. Plus, the character has probably been the most successful at the next level of all the listed.
