Boy, T.O. can't even make this poll much less the Pro Bowl.

He's a jerk, but I think he's in the discussion at least - his numbers and Holt's aren't very different.

ETA: Fletcher-Baker, the gap between him and the guy who usurped his spot (Wilson) is greater than any of the others in consideration.

Agreed. Best player who didn't make it might be Westbrook. Probably is.Biggest error is the ommission of Fletcher.

What about Ryans?Fletcher - 92 solo, 131 total tackles, 2 sacks, 0 ff, 3 intRyans - 113 solo, 138 total tackles, 3.5 sacks, 1 ff, 1 int

Ray Lewis
Sorry, have to disagree as Ray isn't even the biggest absence from the Ravens, Pryce and Gregg have had far better seasons. Other than Westy, Pryce might be the biggest absence and he wasn't even in this poll, yet another snub  .

Westbrook > Barber

Owens > Boldin

Jared Allen > Derrick Burgess

Leonard Little > Will Smith

Rhodes > Polamalu

Suggs, Wilson and Lynch? c'mon now. Where's DeMeco Ryans?

No one actually watches the game, and it seems half the players selected for it don't even play. So there's really no point debating. It's totally meaningless.

Farve>Romo ZI like ROmo but Romo only played 8 games.

Before the season everyone thought Favre had no line, no RBs and no WRs and yet he made EVERYONE produce again. He singlehandedly willed that team back from beyond.

Marino could do that.

With the excepton of 3 or 4 games, Favre might have had one of his best seasons. He was just as important to that team as any one person on another team.

just my

Westbrook's numbers: 1756 yds and 11 TDs.

Barber's numbers: 1786 yds and 2 TDs.

While the yardage numbers are close, the TDs are clearly in Westbrook's favor and indicative of his superior ability as a runner and receiver.

Anyone who watched the NFL closely would realize that Westbrook is clearly better than Barber at this point and more deserving of Pro Bowl recognition. While Barber is a nice fit as a move the chains type of player in the NYG offense, Westbrook is a game changing player whom the defense must account for on each play, whether it is as a RB or as a receiver. To leave him off of the Pro Bowl roster is a farce.

Favre got a going away present (even though he'll most likely play the "I may retire this year, really I might!" game this offseason), much like Tiki did. And please, stop with the "he willed the team!" crap. When he plays within the confines of McCarthy's offense, he has done well. When he takes it upon himself to "will" the team, he tends to #### the bed with bad decisions and turnovers more often than not. Vick deserved the nod over Favre, but again, his selection was more out of respect for his career than anything else.

Rhodes

Vinatieri-he's got as many FGs as Kaeding in 3-4 less weeks.

Some weeks(if) I'd vote for Mangold in a heartbeat. I knew he was good but he shocked me. I just don't watch Cs that much amidst the flow of a game and yet he kept getting my attention. I didn't see Saturday enough to compare.

Amidst all the "it's a popularity contest" complaints, I find it interesting Strahan(or Kiwi or Osi) didn't make it since NY's population is enormous. Injured guys have made it before and gap tooth gets alot of praise in NY.

I really like the job Heath Evans has done. I'm not sure if it's better than Neal but geesh he has been quietly invaluable to the Pats. He's saved Brady's keyster countless time, he clears the way for Maroney and Dillon whom did real well together. If he's in with Faulk he almost always has a key block on that delay play they always run. He's punched thru some key 3rd and 1s or 4th and 1s. Last week, he ran so Dillon could rest.

:goodposting: I can't stand Owens, but the guy leads the league in TD receptions - it's tough to leave him out of the Pro Bowl, nevertheless this pollNi

:goodposting: Westbrook over Barber is the correct answer.

I think Colston was a shoo-in until the injury. I'm not saying he should have made it based on his full season production, but it is too bad that he went down when he did.

Barber getting in is such a joke. The Pro Bowl is more a popularity contest than a sporting event and name recognition is the only thing that matters. I won't watch it again this year. Not because I'm miffed about the selections, but because the game just doesn't matter and I hate the thought of one of my players getting injured for no reason.

Westbrook did get robbed. 1756 total yards and 11 total tds in only 13 games. I'll admit that Gore, Jackson, and Barber all are having good seasons but I think I'd put Westbrook over Barber.

It is a travesty that Keith Bulluck was snubbed...again. There is no doubt he is a legit probowler.

He and Pacman should have made it, no question. Should have made it at CB. At return specialist, how in the **** does Justin Miller make it over Pacman? That is seriously screwed up.

if i was 3 or 4 inches bigger i would be a porn star whats your point. if it was an int contest he would be in

Chad Pennington is in the midst of the longest starting streak of his carrear, and Nick Mangold is probably the biggest reason for that. Its to bad he didnt get recognized, but Im sure he will be making a lot of trips to Hawaii in the future.

Also another vote for Rhodes. He has been the Jets best defensive player this year and has the numbers to be there.

I can't believe that anybody thinks that Vince Young should get into the Pro Bowl. His passer rating is worst in the NFL.

I know that there is more to being a passer rating but come on, a 65 is pathetic.

 VY might be winning this year. But he is a terrible passer! The league will catch up to his style of play. He is no Michael Vick.

Viking Homer here. Can't beleieve Pat Williams didn't make it, yet Steve Hutchinson and Matt Birk did.
AMEN!!!(I thought Hutch should make it but don't think Birk should have - and Birk is my favorite NFL player!)
Exactly what I was going to type. Right down to the part about Birk. I'd say that deserves a :goodposting: Big Pat should be in even before K. Williams in my opinion. Pat makes Kevin as good as he is by pugging the middle and often taking two blockers. Watching Big Pat range from sideline to sideline is amazing. Big Pat also allowed this group of LBs look like pro-bowlers by freeing them up against the run.
