John Henderson anyone?
One of the biggest snubs (along with Westbrook) IMHO.

One of the biggest snubs (along with Westbrook) IMHO.
Or the presence of a 260lb beast named jacobs who scores all those TDs. FWIW, I agree that westbrook should have gotten the nod, but its a damn close call. Not egregious IMO.Westbrook's numbers: 1756 yds and 11 TDs.
Barber's numbers: 1786 yds and 2 TDs.
While the yardage numbers are close, the TDs are clearly in Westbrook's favor and indicative of his superior ability as a runner and receiver.
Anyone who watched the NFL closely would realize that Westbrook is clearly better than Barber at this point and more deserving of Pro Bowl recognition. While Barber is a nice fit as a move the chains type of player in the NYG offense, Westbrook is a game changing player whom the defense must account for on each play, whether it is as a RB or as a receiver. To leave him off of the Pro Bowl roster is a farce.
I think Phillip Rivers is the worst choice of all.I would take Brady and Vince Young ahead of him.
VY passed for 85 yards last week and ran for 4 yards. Tennessee won because of their defense and would have won the game if they had their fullback behind center last week.pizzatyme said:Godsbrother said:I can't believe that anybody thinks that Vince Young should get into the Pro Bowl. His passer rating is worst in the NFL. I know that there is more to being a passer rating but come on, a 65 is pathetic.VY might be winning this year. But he is a terrible passer! The league will catch up to his style of play. He is no Michael Vick.
How the heck did Anquan Boldin make it? Horrible![]()
Back to where? Sub-mediocrity? Theya re two games under .500. Only 7 other teams are worse. I would still think they are "beyond".Farve>Romo ZI like ROmo but Romo only played 8 games.
Before the season everyone thought Favre had no line, no RBs and no WRs and yet he made EVERYONE produce again. He singlehandedly willed that team back from beyond.
Marino could do that.
1. One of his best seasons? He has only thrown for 17 TDs so far this year. In his 15 year career, he hs failed to throw for less than 20 TDs only twice, his first two season with the Packers(18 and 19 TDs).2. This is not a vote for team MVP. He is not being compared to the other players on his team, he is being compared to other QBs from around the NFC.With the excepton of 3 or 4 games, Favre might have had one of his best seasons. He was just as important to that team as any one person on another team.

nfl.com has a completye list of players, both starters and reservesJust wondering. Does anyone have a link or into about which players are alternates? A local paper here in DC has a list for the skins players, but not the rest of the league.
Seen that, looking for a list of alternates. Example: S. Taylor didn't make the pro bowl team, but is the first alternate at that position.nfl.com has a completye list of players, both starters and reservesJust wondering. Alternates are not decided until after a player says he's not going. Taylor is no more an alternate than every other player.Seen that, looking for a list of alternates. Example: S. So the Washington Post is just making it up?Alternates are not decided until after a player says he's not going. Safety Sean Taylor earned a first alternate selection, and tight end Chris Cooley, punt returner Antwaan Randle El and linebacker Marcus Washington were named third alternates.
Not completely true. Sean Jensen of the St. Paul Pioneer Press was stating today on KFAN radio that Pat Williams is the first alternate on the NFC Defensive line. He said the players today were talking about the fact that they are sure Pat will be in Hawaii, it just isn't the way you want to be named.I think the NFL tells one guy at each position, "Hey, don't make other plans. We may need you." But the NFL isn't going to publish that list, because then it would continue to grow and we would be naming the seventh alternate at each position.Alternates are not decided until after a player says he's not going. Been looking into it. It looks like the official list isn't released, but for what ever reason it does get leaked out.Not completely true. I think he's been more valuable to his team than Rivers.Look at their record since he's been the starter. There's a lot more to him than just passer rating.Godsbrother said:I can't believe that anybody thinks that Vince Young should get into the Pro Bowl. If you want to qualify Tiki by bringing up Jacobs then maybe we should qualify Westbrook and say that he put his stats up in 13 games, Tiki did his in 14.Or the presence of a 260lb beast named jacobs who scores all those TDs. First off, the Pro Bowl is not about who is more valuable to his team it is supposed to take the better player. I don't see how you can say Vince Young is a better QB than Rivers. Secondly, the Titans whole team is playing better it is not just Vince Young that is the difference. A perfect example is last week: Young threw for 85 yards and ran for 4. That is a pathetic performance for an NFL QB. It was the defense that won that game with returned turnovers of 83, 92 and 61 yards for touchdowns -- VY had nothing to so with that.I think he's been more valuable to his team than Rivers.Look at their record since he's been the starter. There's a lot more to him than just passer rating.Godsbrother said:I can't believe that anybody thinks that Vince Young should get into the Pro Bowl. And Fletcher's 2 TD's.......and the fact that he has the most tackles over the past 6 years in the league.......Not discounting Ryans, but he'l have his day. This is 6 years in a row that London has gotten snubbed, and he is always a professional about it, and refuses to toot his own horn. What about Ryans?Fletcher - 92 solo, 131 total tackles, 2 sacks, 0 ff, 3 intRyans - 113 solo, 138 total tackles, 3.5 sacks, 1 ff, 1 intFletcher-Baker, the gap between him and the guy who usurped his spot (Wilson) is greater than any of the others in consideration.
Not qualifying Tiki, just noting that the TD difference between the 2 is more easily explained by coaching decisions ( using jacobs to punch it in ) than by a wide gap in the skills of these 2 backs ( as was purported in the post I responded to )If you want to qualify Tiki by bringing up Jacobs then maybe we should qualify Westbrook and say that he put his stats up in 13 games, Tiki did his in 14.Or the presence of a 260lb beast named jacobs who scores all those TDs. The Steelers won in the playoffs in large part due to Roethlisberger's passing, something I don't Vince Young is capable of doing right now. Plus Roethlisberger's QB ratings the first two seasons were over 98. VY is not even close at 65. Young may turn out to be a good or even great QB some day but to to suggest that he is a Pro Bowl QB now is just laughable.First off, the Pro Bowl is not about who is more valuable to his team it is supposed to take the better player. They have been playing really well the past month or so. Vince Young has been making big plays when he has needed to, but this team is a lot like last year's Steelers or the Patriots in 2001. Their QB is making plays when he needs to, but the defense and special teams is what makes them a good team moreso than their offense.
And I would the Raiders Nnamdi Asomugha here too.Champ, Samuel and Asomugha should be the AFC cornerbacks.Asante Samuel's season = Champ Bailey's seasonSamuel > R. MathisSamuel >> C. McAlister
