who is the number one receiver? (1 Viewer)

Looking at a few teams where there may be some opportunity for sleeper production. Some of these teams could end up producing high end wr1 talent at a much lower price.

Buffalo: Mike Williams and Sammy Watkins appear to be the starting two with woods coming in for the receiver sets. Williams is the most experienced, obviously, but also a bit of a head case. His touchdown production was outstanding in Tampa and he appears top have rejuvenated his career somewhat. Watkins may be ready to go right out of the gate or he might need some time especially if teams out their number one d back on him. Hard to get too excited about a cold weather team with a bad, running quarterback but there's some potential here.

Philly: I think we all assumed it would be Maclin, but Mathews is making his case. If Maclin is healthy I think it pushes Cooper to the third wideout spot sooner rather than later. But Maclin is already dinged up. I'd it possible a rookie leads this team in receptions? Or is there value in Riley Cooper? Or do McCoy, spotless and the tight ends take the fun out of the receiver position altogether?

Cleveland: obviously the first question is about that Gordon guy. But assuming he misses some if not all of the season, the question becomes who is the next man up. Miles Austin has supposedly looked like the guy so far, but his health concerns are non trivial and he hasn't had a fantasy relevant season in years. In fact his two best seasons may have been more a factor of Romo than his own talent. Baby hawk looks good but he's so small. Is he capable of being a true number one? Or maybe Charles Johnson really does emerge? The value here is capped a not by the uncertainty with Gordon, but for dirty cheap fliers who could easily be dropped if things bounce badly for then, you could do worse.

New England: obviously gronk it's the number one option when healthy. But this offense is good enough to support multiple fantasy relevant players of a second or third guy emerges. Is Edelman the play again? I had him as a nice flier last year but I only took him as an injury backup to amendola. It's amendola the cheap play late this year? Or Dobson? Or maybe it's just gronk, vereen and a bunch of overpriced underproducers? I feel like the market is already proving the upside of all these guys into their adp, and there's just to many of them to hand any real certainty, so I'm a bit hesitant to speculate

San Francisco: yeah, I know, it's Crabtree and Davis. But Boldin was surprisingly good last year. And Stevie is a very nice wr3. All of those guys could be thousand yard receivers. But I'm not sure kaepernick can support that many good receivers this year. But maybe the takeaway here odds that kaep is the value play?

Indy: their best fantasy receiver is either Wayne, who turns 36 in November and is coming off an acl injury, or Hilton, who isn't even on the field in two receiver sets, Pitt maybe nicks, who has been an injury prone bust the last couple years. Yet luck is considered s top five fantasy quarterback and he is clearly good enough to support a true stud receiver if not more than one. I feel like Hilton should be the play here but I'm guessing just like everyone else.

Jacksonville: marquise lee looked pretty good. But shorts is the incumbent. Allen Robinson hammy had a chance to play, but he is a quality rookie. And then there's Mike Brown and some other scrubs. Could someone else emerge?

I'm sure I'm missing some. Interested in hearing people's thoughts on the subject
