This one surprises me. Hines seems like the consumate professional that loves to play the game. I must be missing something.Hines Ward
He always has that sh-- eating grin on his face, which makes him easy to hate. Also dislike Polamalu because of his hair - stupid I know, but it drives me crazy. This one surprises me. Hines seems like the consumate professional that loves to play the game. I must be missing something.Hines Ward

Phillip River is a punk. I don't even like the Broncos but his antics last year against the Broncos spoke volumes on what a complete punk he is. How about you do something before annointing yourself as the best qb ever to grace the gridiron. How about representing yourself, your team and the league with some modicum of class.I can put up with a lot of narcissistic players and the occassional prima donna, but Rivers sickens me to no end. Pure punk. Can I ask a dumb question - or uneducated I guess - what did Philip Rivers do?

Give me a break. "Games" are designed and meant to be fun. Romo's having fun and displays it. Much the same way Favre was in his younger years. If you don't get that I feel sorry for you.Too much of the essence of NFL games has fallen to the wayside over the years, and that is sad. While you can still cheer and back your team, let's not diminish the enjoyment the players must feel in playing them. Tony Romo demonstrates as well as anybody how much he cherishes and appreciates the opportunity to play the game at it's highest level. If it's looked upon that one can't smile while doing what he loves to do, something's wrong with those imposing judgement.Romo's play and the way he plays is nothing short of a shot in the arm for the NFL and it's viewers. It's not like he's cocky. He's out there having "fun!"What's wrong with that? Apparently you haven't had any "fun" for awhile.I noticed the "favorite player" thread and thought this could be fun.Mine's easy...Romo...just plain hate him and his perma-smile

I think the OP is just stating what many people think, that Romo's smile is phony. His entire act seems forced to me, like he's trying desperately to be a mini-Favre. That doesn't take away from his abilities on the field, but he just seems like a ##### sometimes. Of course, we don't know any of these guys personally. They could be great people for all we know, We just see them on tv.Give me a break. "Games" are designed and meant to be fun. Romo's having fun and displays it. Well, you're way off here, and evidently many others. Romo has no act. He's been and acted in the same way as he was when he was a little known 3rd stringer. There's nothing phony about him at all. Think about it. Made his way in as a free agent, and now he's a starting quarterback?! Put yourself in his position... would you not enjoy the hell out of that or what?! I know I'd be smilin'! Darn right!I think the OP is just stating what many people think, that Romo's smile is phony. His entire act seems forced to me, like he's trying desperately to be a mini-Favre. Does Nick Saban count? If we asked for least favorite COACH, would anyone besides Belichick get a vote?
No. Nor does Petrino. Current NFL coaches.Does Nick Saban count? If we asked for least favorite COACH, would anyone besides Belichick get a vote?
I'll go along with that. I'm a HUGE Cutler fan and look forward to this rivalry for years to come.Phillip Rivers came to mind first before even opening this thread. That and I'm a Cutler fan, so if Jay doesn't like him neither do I.
really? why would you think "his act" is forced? does he really have an act? i met him at a golf event, and he was very polite to everyone he came across. if anything he seems uncomfortable in the spotlight OFF THE FIELD. from what i've seen, Romo seems like a genuinely nice guy.I think the OP is just stating what many people think, that Romo's smile is phony.
