Who is your WR3 and are you happy with him? (1 Viewer)

Colston, and I bet he puts up WR2 numbers! Andre and MWTB are my 1 and 2...Solid as any startin 3 in my league.

I am a Saints fan, but Colston just about puts up 1000 and 8 every year.

For right now, I would rank Mario Manningham as my #3, and I'm very happy with him.

1. Vincent Jackson

2. Percy Harvin

3. Mario Manningham

4. Santana Moss

5. Jacoby Ford

6. Nate Burleson

12 team PPR

Manningham would be your 2, easily. Harvin would be your 4, at best.JMO

One league I have Calvin, Mike Williams TB and Lloyd so Lloyd is my WR3.

Another league I have Fitzgerald, Mike Williams TB and Marshall, so Marshall is my WR3.

Pretty solid.

Andre, TB MW, Julio Jones. Very happy with it.

Andre, Nicks, Harvin. We'll see about Harvin.

I have Mike Thomas. I guess I would say I not thrlled, but I also do not care because wr is bar none the easiest position to fill in a ppr league. There are always guys to be found on the ww who can produce in a pinch. I have always been a wr/wr guy since I have played in pprs, but lets face it, the NFL is a passing league now so there are way more wrs and rbs having good games than ever before. I think it is better to try to gain an advantage at qb and te than waste picks on wrs.

Really? I think that Harvin is going to have a breakout season. Who else in Minnesota is going to get the passes? Berrian??

#2 Wayne, #3 Loyd, #4 AJ Green..... Yes, shakey about Wayne.

#3 Loyd, #4 Britt...happy with this

#3 Collie, #4 Evans, #5 Royal (return yds)...Yes shakey

I am in four leagues and ended up with Britt as my WR3 in all of them. We drafted before the suspension news broke and he kept falling to the 7th round. I'm happy with that but .. 4 leagues .. I could be drinking the Kool Aid.

I also have Holmes in 3 of those leagues, who kept falling to the 5th round. So basically I have two guys who I think have massive upside that are completely untradable.

I like having a wr3 by rotation. And I'm very happy with my rotation. Starting off I'm going with Kenny Britt, and whenever he's healthy, he's legit. I have Lance Moore behind him, who if he can find some health should be looking at a solid season. And then, I have Amendola, who I'm not a HUGE fan of, but it is a ppr and 1 pt for every 25 return yard (so I hope the release of Gilyard mean's it's his job again).

At the top I have Nicks-Holmes, so if one of those 3 step up, or I waiver wire someone, I'll be more than please.

10 team - Roddy, Tampa Mike, Welker. Check +

12 team 1 - Jennings, Welker, Holmes. Check.

12 team 2 - Fitz, Holmes, Ocho. Meh, we'll see.

12 Team non PPR (Start 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 W/R) - Santonio, Lloyd, Santana Moss, Burleson, Meachem, Antonio Brown - Not too exctied about Moss, but I feel a little better after reading this thread. He's a good WR3 considering I went RB-RB-RB

12 Team 0.5 PPR (Start 2 RB, 2 WR, and 2 W/R) - Tampa Mike, .... I don't really know how to rank my the rest of my guys: Burleson, Sims-Walker, Jacoby Ford, AJ Green, Antonio Brown. I also went RB heavy in this league (5 with of my first 6 picks).

12 Team 1.0 PPR (Start 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 W/R) - Fitz, Dez, Kenny Britt, Amendola, Burleson, Antonio Brown

I was targeting Mario Manningham in every single draft, but couldn't get him once. I wasn't really targeting Burleson at all, but got him in every league.

12 Team Leagues:

League 1: CJ,Nicks,Lloyd (Happy)

League 2: VJ,Wayne,Harvin (Neutral)

League 3: CJ, Bowe, Holmes (Happy)

I always get a tension headache thinking about this position. It's the one I tinker with the most.
WR3 is made to tinker with. I've got Dez, Manningham, and Collie at this point. Didn't know fer shoor that Collie was #3 until both he and Peyton are hampered.

Sidney Rice or Garcon (take your pick) behind S. Holmes and Marshall. Hope I only have to use them for byes. Started my draft with DMC, Mendenhall and Forte so I've got a strong starting lineup...

Surprised not a lot saying Julio Jones. Think he'll be on a lot of championship squads as I anticipate solid WR2 numbers from him. A bit risky as a rookie, but if you're aren't willing to take risks with your wr3, well ........

weak WR set:

Calvin

85

MSW

D. Moore

Burleson

R. Moss

to many NE and Lions. so basically.....hell no.

SRice

and was very happy until the TJax signing

then was just meh happy til the shoulder

now unhappy til mid-2012 ...

Luck to Rice back to very happy

12 teamer- Have Fitz and Nicks, then it goes Stevie Johnson, Santana Moss, Jacoby Ford, B. Edwards, A. Brown. Love this group.

other 12 teamer- C. Johnson and Boldin start then I have S. Rice, J. Ford, M. Thomas, S.Smith (Car), B. Gibson. Hoping for one of these guys to sperate themselves from the pack.

Ended up with Percy Harvin behind Andre Johnson and Desean Jackson in my big money 10 teamer.

Got Manningham behind Fitzgerald and Bowe in my less competitive 10 teamer.

Pretty satisfied with both

What is this WR3 you speak of? I tend to start RB-heavy line-ups so WR3 isn't really a prime position in my world.

Still, in my 10-teamer I have Nicks, Holmes, and then Lloyd as my #3 with Julio Jones #4. I feel better about the fact that I have Benson as my RB4 and Beanie as my RB5 :D

In my 8-teamer (yeah I know) I have Nicks and Holmes again then I guess Colston is my #3, Gronkowski (no separate TE) is #4 and S Moss is #5. Would feel worse about that if I actually cared about WRs.

You guys are sporting some sweet WR3! Must not be deep leagues.
Yea...some of this is deceptive. Most of these guys with good WR3 and slim at RB I bet.I'm thinking the OP is weaker at WR because he went RB heavy early on...hence the point of the post.If you have Manningham, Santana Moss or Britt...well that's pretty much a WR2 in your WR3 spot.Where you have a problem, like the OP, myself and some others, is when u built up RBs and your WR3 is someone like Sidney Rice, Ochocinco, Mike Thomas, Jacoby Ford, Lance Moore, the rookies...etc. If you have any one from this group on down, you are likely not feeling to comfortable. I had Malcolm Floyd, dropped him for Braylon Edwards, and am leaning very much towards dropping Edwards for Meachem....and no I am not pleased. Going to have to hope Nicks and Steve Johnson live up to their potential/projections.I agree with the poster that said you either go with the feast/famine guy...a la Meachem who will get you 4 points or less one week and 20+ the next. Or the more reliable/consistent guy who will get you 6 catches for 70 yards and the occassional TD guy... a la Edwards.
I hope you are right. I have Nicks as my WR1, then Manningham and Santana Moss. If they both deliver like WR2's I'll be in good shape

16 Team league, start 3 WR's

Fitzgerald

Harvin

S. Moss

I think this is a solid 3.

My RB's are very poor though

Not to mention that owners that went WR heavy are racing in here to brag about their WR3.

MY WR3:

League 1: 12 Team PPR: S Rice/AJ Green - Not very confident but there is some potential on the WW.

League 2: 12 Team PPR: M Thomas/AJ Green/J Knox/B Gibson - Pleased; one of those guys should work out.
