I remember getting the Pandemonium album in the late 90s and loving it. I forgot how much I loved it and got in to deathmetal and blackmetal.

These guys are amazing.

Its helped me connect with the woman I love. She grew up in the 80s and loves Joy Division and New Order And Killing Joke just bridges the gap.

Every song just reminds me of how much I love her.

I thought you were on the older woman that grew up with swing music.

Is this a different one?
Wow you really are bored with your life tonight Binky

ill bite anyway

Yeah it’s the same woman I’ve been talking about for a while. She’s older than me but not old enough to know swing music ( I.E long dead).

Might be a bit overrated, but classic Moore, and the format was the first of it's kind. Well, maybe that was Ronin by Miller, but you get my drift.
Could be that I just read it a few months ago and it didn't live up to the hype. Probably better when it first came out.

Awhile meaning like two months?

That took me a second and then I almost spit up my water.
he's such a hack. dude was the host of that competition show "Rock Star" a few years back. they were trying to find a "replacement" for Hutchence from INXS. he was all "namaste" and crap. when he went to RHCP, i remember how surprised they were by his affection for metal.

I remember that not working in the least. I think I'm one of the few people that are a bit adventurous in music (nothing like Eephus or others) that likes both first-run Jane's and RHCP, but that album was garbage.

But I thought you were making fun of our friend Rok here, who threatened to leave the board when his thread turned into a Jane's/RHCP debate.

nah, i have had Rok on ignore for a couple of years now. i don't have anything against JA. they have their moments and i can respect that. RHCP peaked, for me, at "Mother's Milk" and went downhill from there. i think Navarro is just terrible but is the kind of rough trade that some fans like.

I'm a Killing Joke fan. I caught them at the Empty Bottle in Chicago a few years ago. Tiny bar that holds like 400. Still put on a great show. Youth put out a KJ "dub" album in 2014 that is well worth a listen if a fan of the genre.

Jaz Coleman's symphonic works are worth a listen.  They're completely different from his Killing Joke catalog.

you don't like perry farrell? what about his work with porno for pyros?
Janes was great for me when I was in HS and immediately after. Loved the first three records.   It just hasnt aged well at all for me. I try to revisit every couple years and It just feels and sounds really 80s LA, and I don't mean that as a compliment.

Never really got into PfP.
