Who the heck is Kevin Ogletree? (1 Viewer)

I know which league you guys sre in :bag:
Only the best league in all of Zealots. They have an awesome Commish there... :lmao: And I might be at my highest for Ogletree. Unless I hear some great news come out about him I might be staying put. But I do think he has the highest upside out of all the WR's out there in FA.

I did draft Olgetree in all 3 dynasty leagues I am in, it is obvious he wasn't going to start immediately but he was a hot player in the undrafted FA market and I thought Dallas was a good spot with fairly weak but secure guys in front of him, that was before Miles took off obviously. I had no problem dropping late picks on a guy with a ton of upside that no one was going to rush into playing. How many guys jumped on Mike Sims-Walker and held on and prayed he would eventually come around to prove they were right... that is my hope for Ogletree, but if he doesn't I didn't lose much.

Ogletree is a "player," pure and simple. All the more reason I'd been chiming for more of his services throughout all of last season and have had him atop my signature.

Trust me, and I don't say that often (the last time was centered around Romo), but it's only a matter of time.

Ogletree's jersey will be the highest selling Cowboys jersey within the next two years.

Cowboys coach Wade Phillips confirmed Friday that Roy Williams will have to compete to keep his starting job in 2010.

"We are going to play the best player, no matter what," Phillips said. The Cowboys' alternatives are Kevin Ogletree and Patrick Crayton, though Crayton is much better suited for the slot. Ogletree has legitimate talent and is a player to monitor closely in dynasty leagues. Williams, due nearly $13 million in 2010, could enter the season as a backup/fourth receiver. I'm sure Jerry Jones doesn't want to admit he made a mistake and will fight tooth and nail to try and convince everyone and himself that Roy Williams should be the starter. Funny thing is, everyone else knows Roy Williams sucks and has always been overrated. Maybe Ogletree forces their hand by clearly out performing Williams, which is not hard to do. They will then start to feel the pressure from the fans and Dallas media. Hell, they are already feeling it.

"Sucks" and "overrated" to me are two different things. Roy is absolutely overrated, or used to be. He was pretty awful the last couple of years, so he did suck. But, he has produced before, so it's not like there isn't talent in there, somewhere. And he's not that old. I'm wondering if there is any way this guy can turn it around.

No way Roy Williams is not a starter this season. Jerry Jones will make that call not the coaching staff - sad but true.

Maybe, but more sooner than later the tables will turn. Jones will finally realize Ogletree is the better WR, something the rest of us already know.

remember the coaching staff was adamant crayton was starting over austin at the beginning of the previous season

But will he be the starter throughout the 2010 season. Roy Williams is a below average NFL WR,and should lose his starting job by the end of the 2010 season.
