Who to avoid if you play week 17 or dfs (1 Viewer)

Going to try to keep a running list of players/teams.

Patriots - assuming the Steelers win tonight they have to play next week, both teams play at 1pm. If the Steelers lose then I would avoid all Patriot players, they might play a half at most. Mike Gillisie might be a guy you could exploit with a Steelers loss.

Bills - Deploy your Bills as usual, they play at 4:25, but a loss by either the Titans, or the Ravens and a win and they are in and both those teams play at 4:25 as well so they won't have their fate decided.

Dolphins - They are eliminated, but I don't know of them having too many injuries or young guys that they will want to see in the final game. Use them as usual

Jets - Same as Miami, but they are so bad I don't see you using too many of them.

Chiefs - they are locked into the 4th seed, I would avoid these guys, I can see Hunt, Smith, Kelce, and Hill all getting at least a half off. Maholmes might be a sneaky play and possibly West or Spiller.

Chargers -  They need help, but they start at 4:25 with the rest of the AFC wild card teams that are still in limbo. I would start them as usual

Raiders - They are eliminated, and I could see them resting guys like Lynch, and Cooper.

Broncos - They are eliminated and I could see all 3 qbs getting time in this game, DT might also rest, not sure about Anderson.

Steelers - Play as usual, if the Patriots stumble they can still get the 1 seed and the Jags don't play until 4:25 and could catch them if they lose tonight. This could change if they win tonight, the Steelers might give up on the 1 seed and just avoid injury in hopes of giving the Pats a run with a healthy squad in Foxobourgh in the AFC title game

Ravens - They win and they are in, deploy them as usual

Bengals - They are eliminated and have some injuries and chaos, Mixon could sit again, they may play McCarron to see what they have.

Browns - They are eliminated, deploy them as usual

Jaguars - This depends on the game tonight if the Steelers win then they are locked into the 3 seed and I could see some rest for Fournette and key defensive guys, if the Steelers lose tonight deploy as usual.

Titans - Deploy them as usual

Texans - They are eliminated, they may rest guys like Hopkins and Miller, we will have to wait and get more info before Sunday.

Browns - I am leaning towards the deploy as usual, I think they want to avoid 0 - 16

Eagles - This is like the Steelers and depends on tonight, if they lose they will play in week 17, if they win I see Ertz and Jeffery resting, Foles getting a quarter or so.

Cowboys - They are eliminated, and I put them in the same tier as the Texans, Witten, Dak, Zeke, Dez and others could see the 2nd half off.

Redskins - They are eliminated, I say deploy as usual I don't see anyone resting except for possibly Perine who is banged up.Bibbs could be a sleeper.

Giants - I would avoid at all costs, I could see the rookie qb whose name escapes me right now getting some time, Shepard has been banged up as well. Gallman might be a sleeper

Rams - they are locked into the 3 or 4 seed, so no bye. I am not sure it matters to them, I am 99 percent certain Gurley plays 1 quarter or less, unless he is going for a record. I am not sure if he is. I can see the other starters getting rest as well, I am avoidings.

Seahawks - They need a win and a Falcons lose, both teams start at 4:25 so deploy as usual.

Cardinals - They are eliminated, but other than Fitzgerald all their older and best players are hurt and on IR. I am not sure on Fitzgerald, this could be his last game and if so he seems like the kind of guy that would want to go out with a bang. We will have to wait and see.

49ers - They are eliminated, but have a young team and a new qb, deploy them as usual except watch out for Hyde, I could see Breida getting an extended look.

Vikings - They are locked into the 1 or 2 seed, if the Eagles win today and I can a lot of guys getting rest, if the Eagles lose deploy them as usual. Both the Eagles and Vikings play at 1.

Lions - They are eliminated and I see them resting a ton of guys, probably 3 of their lineman, Stafford and Tate aren't fully healthy.

Packers - They are eliminated. I would deploy them as usual.

Bears - They are eliminated. I would deploy them as usual.

Saints - They are locked into the 3,4 or 5 seed, but they want the home playoff game. They start at the same time as the Panthers 4:25, so deploy them as usual.

Panthers - see above with the Saints.

Falcons - Win and they are in, so deploy them as usual.

Bucs - They are eliminated and you have to wonder if Winston will play, he isn't 100 percent healthy. Another wait and see.

I will update this as the week goes or if any homers can give us some more valuable information.

In general, I think there's minimal risk that eliminated teams rest healthy starters, so I don't see much chance of Dallas, Oakland, etc sitting their vets. The main ones to keep an eye on are playoff teams locked into their seed, especially if they're not going to have a bye.

Even there, don't take anything for granted. Giants had nothing to play for last year, played all their starters, and knocked Washington out of the playoffs.
