Who to Keep? (1 Viewer)

This is a league that starts  Q, K, Q/K (yes K's score high but most play 2 QB's), RB,RB, RB/TE, WR/TE, WR/TE, WR/TE, RB/WR/TE.  You can freeze one player drafted from the 10th round on (20 total rounds).  The league has 14 teams and is not PPR.  You can freeze any player that played less than 4 games the previous year in the round you draft them.  Here are my choices:

• Keenan Allen (3rd)
  
• Tevin Coleman (10th)
  
• Devante Parker (11th)
  
• Robert Kelley (15th)
  
• Jamison Crowder (17th)
  
• Paul Perkins (19th)
  

I do not know my draft slot yet which may play into it as Allen as a late 3rd might be where I am leaning where as an early 3rd would not be a consideration.  So what say you?

Voted Allen but I may have made a mistake. My initial logic was "always keep the studs" but in the 3rd round is probably pretty close to his ADP. There's bound to be a few top 42 that are kept though so this (like you said) probably comes down to where you're picking. The big problem to me with keeping Allen is that he hamstrings you a bit in the draft. If WRs end up falling to you at a great value in both of the first 2 rounds then you're likely stuck with some low tier RBs in the 4th and beyond. 

Coleman in 10th is pass for me. He's a backup basically and doesn't represent a good value even compared to the other options. 

Parker is on the maybe list. 

Kelley in the 15th is a good value but doesn't feel very sexy. What are we putting the ceiling at? 1000/9TDs? I'd rather swing for the fences. 

Crowder feels like a safe pick. Doctson and Pryor don't have the experience playing with Cousins and Crowder could get the volume to hit 1000/8TDs. 

Perkins seems like the best value based off of ADP and round he costs you but the Perkins thread is not pretty right now.

I'd lean towards Crowder for the same reasons mentioned above.

Parker seems to be the wild card here. I thought I read something about Landry missing some time to start the year. And Cutler has compared Parker to Alshon. Parker could be a low end WR1 for an 11th round pick.

Its between Allen and Crowder for me. Really depends where that 3rd rounder would end up. Not knowing at the moment, i guess I would lean toward Crowder.

On the bright side I don't have to decide until after I know my draft position.  I am surprised that Parker isn't getting more love here.  I think he has much more upside than Crowder especially since it is not PPR.  Crowder probably has the higher floor but I am not sure that is what I would want for a 1 keep later round guy.

Allen is all about where I pick in the 3rd round.  If I do decide to keep Allen in the 3rd I may try and trade to the back end of the 3rd to upgrade a different round.  That might swing it to Allen as the keep.

Sometimes through these questions it forces me to rethink my answers because on the debate I have with myself. 

I haven't liked Parker since he came out of college. He seemed more of just a big play guy rather than a high volume guy. Then you pair him with Tannehill but across from Landry and I just didn't like his fit in the situation. Wild Jay Cutler however seems more suited to feed Parker. The Shark move here might be to keep Parker and wait for Cutler to over inflate his value this year then trade Parker at a premium. Allen is going roughly at his ADP if you keep him and Uncle Phil is getting long tooth. Or maybe I'm overthinking this.

Hi Gally,

It's a tough call between Crowder and Parker.  Since it's standard, I would lean towards Parker.  Cutler is going to sling the ball downfield all year long and that should benefit Parker a lot.

I'm in the minority. I went Coleman. I am a Phins fan & do not agree with all the hype on Parker
