Who to start in my final generic DEF (LB OR DB) spot? (1 Viewer)

I'm not real sure which one to go with. I think both are capable of doing decent this week, especially Harper (kinda leaning towards him). But wanted to see what some others think. Would Harper be the better play over Henderson? Thanks for any help!

Im going with Harper all season. He's actually one of my starting DB's. Its a bit of a gamble since he's a rook and all. BUt I dont know. Upside for production this year is greater than Hendersons.

ej henderson gets to reprise the derrick brooks cover two WLB role, and has looked great in the pre-season...

that said, harper is a very popular sleeper among the FBG IDP staff, and it wouldn't be a huge stretch if he put up comparable numbers...

Start Henderson this week. That way you get to see a week of the Saints D before making the call.

I've got Harper as my last or next-to-last DB, and waiting. I've got room, and he could pay off big as early as week 2.

I'd say because they haven't caught up yet - and I'd never use the NFL.com depth charts. Here's why:

If NFL.com can't get the data updated when one of the 32 member teams updates, that's pretty sad. And the team site has updated it.

NO Saints Depth Chart

At the risk of coming off as a complete shill, I'd default to Henry's depth charts this time of year. They're better than the others at camp's end. If you have questions about specific defensive players, we'll clear them up here. We try to update Bob if he's a day or two behind on a guy, but we don't catch every error up to the minute.

IMO, Bob's monitoring 1200 players and including returners, etc is unbelievably good work and better than any of the three main players (team sites, ourlads, localsports.ca).

And as an added bonus, by avoiding Ourlads you aren't unwittingly contributing to the wallet of a guy (Daniel Shonka: http://www.ourlads.com/pressreleases.cfm) who's been convicted for selling dogs to torture and death. http://www.awionline.org/pubs/Quarterly/Su...otherdealer.htm

Sorry for the hijack, but it's gotta be said. Back to the original question: Harper's starting, according to the latest I've read and could very well put up good numbers in his first game. All the same, I think you've gotta go with the WILL in the cover 2 who could be on the field for a long time.

I would always double check everything against the team site/coach announcements. There was some discrepancy between a Mike Nolan press conference & FBG on the 49ers depth chart at RB and folks were saying to believe FBG. That made me
