It would depend on the system since Dareus comes from a 3-4 and Saban's system and McCoy came from a 4-3 but both were considered to have the ability to start in either system but Dareus could 'probably' play NT but McCoy at 295lbs coming out wouldn't fit. McCoy was the superior 4-3 DT prospect and has the highest upside IMHO so I say McCoy without a doubt would be higher rated if he were in this draft.Last year many pundits were speculating that McCoy was a higher rated DT than Ndamukong Suh and should have been taken before Suh. McCoy was at Oklahoma for four years, he had more starts/stats/production than Dareus. McCoy didn't bust last year, he got injured and missed the final four games of the season but still was productive last year with over 40 tackles and a couple of sacks, nowhere near Suh but Ndamukong is a generational type of player who only comes out once every 25 years so its not fair to compare McCoy with Suh but last year at this time many NFL talking heads were openly saying that McCoy was the better prospect than Suh but no-one would would say the same with Dareus.McCoy would be higher rated than Dareus and would be a lock to be the first pick if he were in this draft IMHO.
