Obviously Finley has a decent chance to get hurt
Which player in the league doesn't have a decent chance to get hurt? Are people really predicting Finley will get hurt, just because he did last year?
It's not just last year- he was hurt the year before and has had multiple knee surgeries including staph infection in the knee. I own him, and I'm not predicting he gets hurt, but yes, I think he has a higher probability than a lot of players because of this history.
I don't think Finley has anymore of a chance of getting hurt based on history than Dallas Clark or Gates.

The staph infection was a complication arising from his surgery. How is that a harbinger of things to come? There really is no such thing as a higher probability to get injured in most cases. It's just a thing people say on message boards about players that were hurt in past seasons.

What about the rest of the guys on the list?

I didn't say it's a harbinger of things to come, in fact I said I'm not predicting that he gets hurt. Do you consider a staph infection to be a good thing? That, combined with multiple knee injuries including surgeries, adds up to me considering him a somewhat higher injury risk than guys who haven't dealt with those issues. It's my opinion, it's fine if you disagree, but I don't think it's worth arguing about.

Surprised Gates isn't getting more votes. Maybe because he won't cost you a first-rounder.

I think Gates's body is done ... would be surprised if he played 12 regular season games this year (assuming a 16 game season).

I consider the staph infection to be irrelevant.

That's fine, I'd rather my players not have had one, especially when Finley had another one in high school- "I had this infection 10 times worse when I was in high school," Finley said. "To tell you the truth, they almost had to cut my dang leg off because my leg, my knee, had swelled up to like a volleyball." That infection, he said, left him hospitalized for two weeks.

Also-

"The Cleveland Browns are still dealing with the ramifications of a staph infection outbreak that affected the team from 2003 to '08. At least six Cleveland players had bouts with staph infections during that span.

Complications from the infections ended the careers of wide receiver Joe Jurevicius and center LeCharles Bentley. Jurevicius reached a settlement with the team after filing a lawsuit. Bentley has also sued the team."

Chris JohnsonRookie or Lame duck QBNew Coach staff after 17 years that hasn't had a camp yet2 years of top end touches and wore down the end of last year. Not much help to keep heat off especially if Britt continues his antics. Plenty loaded boxes againMay even hold out or be distracted about money. If he misses any camp time will really underperform

Even though it was already stated, Finley should not be in this discussion as you would really be stretching it, imo, to pick him any earlier than the 4th round. Not only is he an injury risk, he really has not produced amazing results outside of practice and preseason.

I think the people who have the most risk are the ones who pick at the turn. If a #1 or #2 do not turn out, then you have two picks in the early to mid twenties to mitigate that risk. Therefore, I foresee alot of sad MJD and Calvin Johnson owners this year.
