Who will be the [fantasy] comeback player of the year? (1 Viewer)

Some examples would be:

2005 - J. Galloway

2006 - D. McAllister

I personally like Portis in 2007, with D. Boston a close second.

My vote is for LArry Johnson. ;) He's been called a bust and said to be injured already by many on the boards and elsewhere. In fact he may even end his holdout and start the season afterall.

:sarcasm:

i was burned by this guy in the 2nd round a few years ago but im starting to warm up to Chris Brown in tennessee. that hurt to type.

there are rushing yards to be had in this offense and fatdale's knee is puffy, err, swollen.

for where he can be drafted in particular, ill say Chrissy Brown

I keep coming back to Jerry Porter in my mind.

Maybe not comeback player of the year, but he will outplay his draft position in a huge way. I don't like the Raiders so this isn't fanboy talk! :)

Big Ben. I think last year he was a combo of injury and bust, coming off the Super Bowl, expectations were high, and he threw a boat load of INTs.

I'd go with Portis too. I think he's in for a 1400+ yd 10+ TD year.

Also like Lamont Jordan at his ADP, I don't think Rhodes can take the job from him and he should see 65-70% of the touches.

Darkhorse: Ashley Lelie (55 catches, 880 yds, 6 TDs). Could be a nice deep threat with DJax the possession guy, VD over the middle & Battle running short routes.

when I think of comeback... I'm thinking of someone whoes stock has fallen...

Portis hasn't fallen that much still (early 1st too mid 2nd).. but one guy I see is Santana Moss. I look for him to bounce back and become a WR#1 again.

Dominic Rhodes. heard from a die-hard Raider fan that Rhodes will probably get the job once he gets back on the field.

I look at comeback as "coming back from an injury/surgery".

Fit into the "comeback from injury" category -

Trent Green

Culpepper

McNabb << My pick.

Kevin Jones

Portis

Joe Horn

Toomer

If we're talking comeback as "coming back from poor seasons" then I guess

David Carr

Joey Harrington (although not sure they've had Great seasons, lol)

Jake Delhomme

Byron Leftwich

Edgerrin James

Lamont Jordan

Warrick Dunn

Derrick Mason

Randy Moss

Nate Burleson

My Top 3:

Shaun Alexander - Top 3 numbers.

Cadillac - Will be a steal in the 3rd round.

And with the final pick in my draft....I'll take CPepp

Well, the description of the thread says based on one or more "bust" or injury-plagued seasons, so I'll go with McNabb, C. Brown, R. Moss and M. Pollard.
