Who will be the WR to pickup after week 1? (1 Viewer)

I'm very thin at wr's this year, and I'm hoping to find the wr that will be #1 on the waiver wire after week 1

who has the crystal ball?

Could be Denarius Moore. Hue Jackson is saying he has played well enough that he is going to have to find ways to get the ball in his hands from week one. He's been incredible in camp and preseason but is probably sitting on most waiver wires at the moment.

Braylon Edwards and Nate Burleson

I like these players, but I think the matchups will help provide a nice week 1.

I'm expecting Detroit to beat up on Tampa Bay and Seattle's looked terrible. Wouldn't be surprised if Detroit and San Francisco each score over 30. I think each of these guys can catch a td on 5 receptions and over 80 yards.

I drafted moore but dropped him to add brown, to add with Sanders figuring I will wait to see who the 3d wr would be with the steelers.

Moore is still there on our wire, but would hate to drop the more used wr on the steelers.

i play in a 12 team start 3 wr league

I'll say Josh Cribbs or Brian Robiskie. Cleveland should beat up on Cincinnati and one or both of these guys should have a good game. I'm not saying they'll be good all year but I wouldn't be surprised if they put up impressive numbers in week 1. Greg Little was drafted in both of my leagues.

I'll put them in order.

Randy Moss

James Jones

Devin Hester

Derek Hagan

Bernard Berrian

Brian Robiskie

I got a feeling Andre Roberts might get an opportunity to shine this year.
+1If Kolb is legit Roberts could be the main beneficiary. Everyone knows what to expect from Fitz but he's going to draw a ton of coverage and someone has to step up as a #2 option in that offense.

thinking one of the TB WRs/ either benn or briscoe. gonna give it two weeks to shake out and pick the better performer

wow, bold prediction.vegas line is TB -1.5, 41 O/U..

We keep hearing about D. Moore in Oakland, but no one is mentioning Jacoby Ford. Last I checked, he IS still a starting , #1 WR... my money is on him to be a hot waiver wire pickup next week.

could it be that the reason Moore looks so good is because Ford has been out all preseason ??

My guess is that he isn't available in most leagues, which is why he wasn't mentioned. I am in in four leagues, and he was drafted in all of them.

Brandon Gibson.
First name that came to mind for me.He may get a lot of targets in a game that Bradford may have to air it out to keep pace with the Eagles.
Against Namdi & Asante?
They may be lined up on MSW and Amendola - who knows. I imagine the Rams will try to spread it out though, so someone will be catching passes.
KendricksI have no problem with Gibson as a breakout candidate but not after this week.

I'm thinking Armstrong.
Funny how no one talks about this guy. He's the third receiver on the team with only Gaffney and SMoss ahead of him for targets. He's the only real vertical threat on the team outside of Moss (who has lost a step or two anyway) and had over 850 yards last year as a rookie and averaged almost 20 ypr. Yet no one talks about him, the staff here hates him, and the rate my team app just recommended I drop him in a 14-team league.Grossman is starting week 1 against the Giants who have had some pretty major injuries on defense, and he loved chucking the ball to Berrian when he was doing well with the Bears (granted 5 years ago). When Grossman started last year he went 5-100, 2-15, and 2-84 & TD. All in all 6 games with over 80 yards receiving.

The Giants RB that was cut from the team?
OOf, two drafts last night, Andre ROBERTS
I know it was just one preseason game, but from what I saw of the Cardinals in the 3rd preseason game I think Doucet might get as much action as Roberts, they seem to have different skill sets and might be used situationally and/or complementary. So Doucet might be a guy who people will be interested in as a pick up, it's been hit or miss so far in the leagues I've drafted whether he's been rostered yet. Roberts got drafted in the early teens at the latest in every draft I've done so far.

Jabar Gaffney or Anthony Armstrong, Washington Redskins.

The Giants' depleted secondary is going to make Rex Grossman look like the second coming of Kyle Orton. Santana Moss will get his share of touches, but one of the other Redskin WRs will end up with 100+ yards and it will cause the fantasy world to rush to the waiver wire to anoint him as The Next Big Thing.

Then the following week that same WR will get 2 catches for 35 yards, and everyone will drop him for someone on the Rams.

Weeks 1-5 of 2010. ;)

Browns and Bills probably have the undrafted WRs and Week 1 matchups to provide a one-week-oneder WW pickup.

Anthony ArmstrongHonorable Mentions: Jericho Cotchery , Brian Hartline, Brian Robieske Bernard Berrien
Word from some of the beat writers is that Cotchery will be listed as one of the inactives for Sunday's game vs. Baltimore
